Moses Moody had 21 points today and hit four threes.

Anybody been watching Blazers games?

Pretty normal, rough start to me for a 19 year old in the league's most competitive position. He also didn't get a lot of minutes until just recently, about 20 mpg in Nov. He's averaging only 27 so far.
Per 36 minutes in December he's been 19 points, 4 boards, 6.4 assists. 35% from 3.
He's also got really difficult competition from Simons, Brogdon, and Sharpe as a guard.

But he's improving rapidly. Player of the week nominee for the WC.
"Henderson was nominated for NBA Player of the Week after averaging 20.3 points, 8.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds in four games from Dec. 25-31."

His FG% is god awful. I believe he is the latest case of a guy who the tankers thought would be an instant win. Yet another demonstration of the draft's brutal volatility. He looks like a long project.

He's doing better than rookie, Killian Hayes - I'll hand him that. And I do think he has enough athleticism and skill to be good. But the league punishes playmakers with poor shooting and IQ.

Anyone thinking Scoot was NBA ready was really off...any guard that's a bad shooter has a ways to go. I assume that's why he fell to 3, Miller can shoot. We'll see if that was the right long term decision and MJ was right. Could very well be even though everybody ridiculed the Charlotte org for taking the better shooter over Scoot at the time.

Yeah, it's hard to make it in this league as a poor-shooting guard. Giddey has so many good things going for his game - size, poise, vision, decent defense (per the stats, at least) -- but he can't shoot the damn ball and he doesn't get free throws. That combination makes him only a role player instead of a potential star, unless he can somehow figure out how to fix that.

I low key thought the Grizz were going to sneak into the playoffs too with Ja. But now they will be back competing for worst record.

Is it on his shooting shoulder? If so, how ironic.

NBA standings are weird right now. Seeds 4-8 all have identical records. Don’t recall seeing something like that this far into the season before.

7-8 in both conference have really strong records, which kind of sucks because as it stands they deserve a legitimate playoff spot, but then it's the 9 and 10 spots which are weak. I don't mind the play-in tournament, but in these instance, it seems unfair. Oh well. I guess we will get one play-in game at this rate.

There goes any idea anyone had about Vucevic being traded to the Grizzlies (I didn't think a trade like that would actually happen).

The Bucks have problems. Giannis is pissed with the recent play, they play no defense, Adrian Griffin is a big downgrade from Coach Bud.

Luckily for them, they signed Giannis to a long term deal.

There's not much they can do other than ride it out. All their picks are tied up until after 2030.

The good thing for the Bucks is that they're currently 25-10, which is 2nd in the East.

Yep. As problems go, being on 58 win pace isn't among the larger ones.

IMO, losing Holiday's (and Allen's) defense hurt them more than Dame helped.

AC for Portis and a 1st.

Indeed but Rubio had impact still and Giddey will. He works on the Griz if they ever get healthy.

But I think all would agree, the Bucks seem worse than their actual record. Sort of something that shows up later than currently.

Firstly, Dame hasn't been Dame time much this season. Statwise it looks ok 25ppg but there is something missing in it too. His efficiency.

On top of that, the Bucks are missing the defense to lock down players like in years past. Currently ranked 21st.

They miss Jrue in a big way. I don't know if they can find someone to replace that. They have no real assets left.

They maybe able to get thru the regular season with it, but in a playoff series against a Celtics, Sixers, Miami, heck even Indy, I dont feel confident in their chances.
