We pretty much would be better with just about any rim running shot-blocking 7 footer. We need to take flyers on Jaxson Hayes types. We dont need them to score. Just rebound, protect the rim and shoot 60-70% from inside the paint.

I knew Vucevic was trash, but I feel bad for Coby White he did everything needed to deliver a win.
Favorite call of the night: "Vucevic couldn't control the pass because it hit him in the hands..."

19 point swing between when Drummond was in the game vs Vucevic. And shout out to Billy for playing Vuc 40 minutes.
And TBH...Drummond is a league min center. It gets much better than even Andre.

Seriously, is Donovan a better NBA coach than DelNegro?

I really think Donovon doesn't understand when to challenge.

He can't catch, he can't finish bunnies, he can't shoot, he provides nothing on defense, and he's whiney and brings bad body language and bad vibes, but yeah it's Billy's fault.

I swear, you're just playing the role of contrarian.

Vuc has had a double double in a ridiculous amount of games. Acting like he doesn't have values is just nonsense

Which is telling because Jaxson Hayes is legitimately one of the dumbest players in the league. The guy is who everyone thought Javale McGee was. That said, any rim runner would be an improvement. Just look how effective Drummond is. It is all about role and fit.

* Speaking of role/fit, have you seen Gafford now that he is in Dallas? Dude is feasting on junk rebounds and lobs. He looks amazing.

Vuc shouldn’t even be on this team,

It'll never happen, but we would be better off if we sent him home and salary dumped him in the offseason.
Lol. You're on a roll.

And I get accused of hot takes.

Vinny Del Negro's Ninja Scroll never left the UC. It was hidden behind a poster in the HC office. Hoiberg found it and texted Billy when he got the job. This is now fact.

I'll agree to the extent that Vuc shouldn't regularly play 4th quarters, unless he's making buckets.

We could use a guy like Daniel Gafford.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

Billy had to try his small ball lineup long enough to give up a lead.

Vuc sucked.

Some stupid turnovers.

Insisting on one player taking the last shot, whoever it is, is stupid and easy to defend. I would have loved to have seen a play ruin for a corner 3 from Ayo... using White, Vuc and DDR as decoys. But that's just me.

But all in all, a well played, horribly coached game.

Billy: I put him (Coby) in the first option (on the last play).

Crowing about it like it was genius.

You were down 3 Billy. Everyone in the freaking arena, watching on TV, or just following the play by play knew he was going to be the first option.

Acting like his rebounds mean anything besides "he's tall and camps the paint on defense" is just nonsense.

It's not even a hot take. Lukewarm at best. It's just the harsh reality that we're not ready to acknowledge. If it isn't apparent yet, it will be by next season.

As always, the one and only Vuc argument always resorts back to raw counting stats, because he has nothing else in his favor. Drummond gets an assload of double-doubles too and he's basically on a minimum contract.
