I think the jazz plan is to sign him to a max extension. But if they pull a third year gutting the team, I could see Lauri trying to move. It's frustrating seeing how elite Lauri can be with competent players around him and then pulling the rug out from under him to make him create like he's LeBron. That's just not his game.
I agree that it's not like him to ask to be traded, but I think it's possible he gets frustrated and his agent talks to Ainge about it.
If they tank again that will be three years in a row. Does Lauri want to continue doing that? I doubt it.
