I would be a part of the minority that would want to pair him with Zach, and I know the Bulls had discussions about him.

At this stage and with the growth of Coby Murray is the only return I would be excited about for Zach.

But I also know it won't happen because no way Atlanta makes that trade.

Why not? Trae would love to have Jalen Johnson and Zach Lavine on both wings, throwing lobs at them. Murray is a better defender, but he's nowhere as elite as Zach on the offensive end. If Zach can work with Coby, he can work with Trae.

It could potentially be the worst defensive backcourt to ever exist. Since Trae doesn't know what defence is im sure he wouldn't consider that and would love to have Zach.

Trae doesn't make the trade decisions though so I'm assuming those who do would consider the defensive angle.

Would trade Debo for Harris. Maybe Philly likes and thinks they could re-sign Debo. Would balance our team out a lot, will probably be cheaper to bring back, and he's an underrated, skilled player who fits our need for a PF. Could bring some toughness to this team.

Tomorrow is the big day. Everyone's contract is trade eligible.
The next couple of weeks are gonna be crazy (trade deadline is Feb 8th)

In the West,
The Lakers and Warriors look like sh%#
Sacramento has rumors about moving Huerter+Barnes
Dallas needs a PF
Utah may be sellers

In the East,
Philly has a ton of assets to move from the Harden trade
Milwaukee has no assets but needs a defensive guard/wing
Siakam is likely to be moved
Charlotte may trade Rozier and Hayward
Atlanta needs to retool
Indy is rumored to looking to package Hield w/ a 1st
Cleveland may not be able to re-sign Donovan Mitchell
Detroit is on fire
And of course the Mid Three in Chicago need to be broken up

I wonder if there's ever a point where Cleveland considers trading Donovan Mitchell for Zach Lavine so that they stay in "win now mode" or whatever you want to call their current status. Likewise with Siakam.

I hope you're right , but I fear the next 3 weeks will be just like the other 49 with AKME on their continuity tour .

Wonder if Huerter's 26 point game is going to push AKME to deal w/ the Kings.

Not a chance. He's not even averaging 10 points a game. How in the hell are the Bulls gonna sell that to fans?

Dejounte has been pretty bad defensively since he has left San Antonio IMO. Not saying he can't get back to where he was, but his defense being underwhelming is one of the reasons why the fit in Atlanta has been worse I expected.

Covering for Traes defensive short comings would be enough to make even Caruso look sub-par on D.

I mean, Trae is very bad, but Dejounte's POA defense has been meh at best and Trae has nothing to do with that.

Caruso is on a completely different level than Dejounte.
