Yikes.

It would be so Bulls to win a top-4 pick in this year's draft with some insane sub-2% odds, and then be inclined to draft another low-FG% project who's a high probability bust and long development forecast. I don't like any of the guys in the lotto who can't shoot. Kind of low motor too.

Matas atleast seems like he has a Deni floor (or ceiling?).

I think Holland's gonna be the steal if he drops to 8-14, but it'll be a long road for him (Ala Jalen Green).

I think Dillingham, Reed and Holland seem like the best prospects.

Sarr and Risacher are complete wild cards. I feel like they're both non-impact NBA rookies... Frenchmen riding on the Wemby French-and-lanky train.. Sometimes their tantalizing skillsets pan out, but I dunno - I'm having a hard time seeing these guys outperform Reed, Dillingham, Knecht and Edey; the types of prospects you usually draft mid/late (Maxey, Nesmith, Kessler, etc.)

Terrence Shannon could be a pretty good Lavine replacement. I’d take him late lotto. Best player in the tournament so far.

Ayo is the Lavine replacement.

Interesting. Ayo and Coby are both combo guards. But Ayo is larger parts point guard and Coby is larger parts shooting guard. Coby is the Lavine replacement if we are looking at it that way.

Shannon is the DDR replacement. I like his game a lot to replace DDR as well.

Sure. He can be a 2/3.

I’d be happy with a trade back and a Edey Shannon or Da Silva Shannon draft.

Hard to imagine our 12 pick yielding that kind of return and we have no other real trade assets to add that would make sense. How would you propose pulling it off?

Trading back for two 1sts with a team like the Knicks. Don’t see Edey and Shannon going top 20 due to age.

I definitely think Edey would be there. Not so much due to age but more because he really cannot move well enough to defend in today’s NBA. I don’t project him as a non-NBA player like I did with Luka Garza and Kofi, but I don’t project him as a starter in the NBA. It’s a shame. Because he really is an incredibly skilled old school big. 30 years ago he might have been the top pick in the draft.

I just don’t know with Shannon. Such a wild card. Obviously the charges pending against him are serious and could prove to effectively end his career completely. And who knows how teams will view those charges in terms of his draft stock. But on the basketball court, I just can’t see Shannon not rising after this postseason. What he is doing just isn’t done by perimeter players in college anymore at this level, and more importantly the WAY he does it is pure NBA. I just have to believe that despite the impact of the age fallacy, at the end of the day he sniffs late lottery.

Interesting stuff. Despite how poor this draft is reputed to be, I find it more interesting than usual when trying to evaluate it. Kind of an odd group of prospects it looks like.

Unfortunately, pretty much every forward has questions regarding their shooting.

Matas is taller and a better shooter than Deni predraft but that's about it. Deni was a better athlete on both ends of the floor, had a better frame, and was a better playmaker IMO.

They could be but small guards like Rob and Reed are a big risk. Not sure NBA teams with comfortably take tiny guards in the top 5 unless they're an outlier like Trae Young. Holland probably has the biggest range out of all the top prospects, he could go top 3 or drop to 10-11.

If Risacher's shooting is legit then it's hard for me to imagine him not contributing in some way. Sarr is a bit more unpredictable to me.

I don't know what to make of him. He seems very tall which helps his cause.

He'll get stronger and will play a smaller role in the NBA so his finishing should improve. Hope you can fix the shot.

Shannon has off the court stuff that needs to be settled before there is any talk of using a pick on him.

Going to be watching Filipowski again tonight vs Houston.

If the criminal arm of the matter is not resolved prior to the draft, and I can only imagine one plausible scenario in which it would be resolved that swiftly, it will make him a wild card. If there are deeply interested teams they may even do their own independent investigation to try to sniff it out. But I’m not sure he’d be viewed as a prospect worth that type of effort and would likely fall pretty hard, even though in my opinion it’s likely he will prove to have been worth that effort if he can play.

As an on court prospect I think he’s got a near can’t miss floor as a quality NBA 7th or 8th man for many years. He’s a super safe pick as a player in my book.

Filpowski looking pretty good.

Knecht looks good but his age and older breakout year are a big scary

UConn and Illinois don’t look like they belong in the same tournament.

Old fashioned dog fight.

Clingan’s rim protection is the difference. Illini have missed or had like 8 layups blocked.

Starting Ty Rodgers was silly. Need to bench that guy and make Clingan guard Hawkins.

Will Clingan be available at the end of the lottery?

Facts. I could see the Grizzlies having strong interest in Clingan. JJJ and Clingan would be a problem on defense. Not to mention, Morant setting the table on offense. Please no.

Still bad FT shooter and has no outside game.
