Strong speculation on previous speculation. There you go.

None of this will have reached its peak until we find out who actually went to Caleb’s birthday party and I’m standing by that.

Xavier Leggett might last until the top of the 2nd Round. 6'3". 227 lbs. 4.29 40 yard dash. Awesome catch radius. Exceptional hands. I see Deebo Samuel comparisons. Needs refinement but I think he translates at the next level. I'd rather have him plus Jackson Powers-Johnson as the result of a trade down than have Odunze. Not because I don't believe in Odunze. But the combo of talent we might get in return would be worth the risk.

I was big on Legette earlier in the offseason but he officially measured in at 6'1 in the Senior Bowl. 6'1 isnt huge for someone whos biggest sell is his size and speed, i am waiting for his combine performance to see what else has been exagerated. If he's 6'1 and actually 225+ with 4.2 speed he is still an intriguing guy but if it turns out hes 6'1 and only 210 and runs a 4.4 then thats not at all what was sold.

After the top 2, the rest of the draft could be wildly different than current projections. Specifically 3-12. If Nabers goes WR1, it could become very wild and hard to determine who falls where.

This falls in line with my suspicions about MHJ. Short area quickness is a concern. Guess he didn't want to disprove that. It's also why I've always felt Nabers is the WR1 of this draft.

Peter King might be the most reliable insider in any industry but all of a sudden it's a smoke screen?

I think people are just less than convinced considering the word salad he used. But when Peter King says something NFL related I tend to listen...

I think the key phrase is "the way the wind is blowing'. Even though he's not reporting anything, he's clearly hearing something. I doubt he's being lied to. That would be a hell of a relationship to ruin by whoever is talking to him. I think this and what Warren had to say about Fields definitely moves the needle towards the bears keeping fields. Its more concrete than anything we've heard about trading the pick

Cmon now.

He does have a beautiful arm. I still think he's more Kyler Murray than Mahomes. But I can see glimpses of a more athletic Aaron Rodgers.

It actually kind of stinks, this is usually one of my favorite times of the NFL season, combine time. I love watching the combine, what players do what, how they look, wonderlic scores, etc etc. I would love to dissect all the options of players at 9, any 2nd rounder the Bears have, 3rd round prospects etc. and instead it’s the same debate that’s been had for half a year now. Would love to get an answer quickly and move on.

Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs won't be tagged so they'll officially hit the market....I wonder if McCaffrey's season will have any effect on the RB price tag.

He seems to be feeling himself a little too much this offseason. it seems a little contradictory to say he doesn't process quickly enough and to say the Commanders should take Daniels, who doesn't process as quickly as Maye.

I've always viewed Peter King's main strength to be his analysis, not his ability to break news or have a lot of inside information. If anything, he seems a bit out of touch lately. I seem to recall him thinking the Bears should try to build around Justin a few months ago, and his rationale was that "who knows what a prospect will do in the NFL".

Defensive Line addition rankings (mine)

Danielle Hunter
Justin Madubuike
Jonathan Greenard

Not realistic

Chris Jones
Josh Allen
Brian Burns

Really don’t want

Bryce Huff (expensive specialist)
Chase Young (inconsistent)
ZaDarius Smith (age)

The Bears have to be excited if they get one of the 1st 3. Don’t sleep on Greenard, who is the perfect age range for Poles, is very good against the run, and was 10th in the league in sacks. May be cheaper than many other options too, but will Houston pony up or are they ok with focusing their attention elsewhere with Will Anderson Jr there already?

Chargers are in cap hell, and 2 of these 4 may need to be cut: Keenan Allen, Joey Bosa, Khalil Mack, Mike Williams.

It makes sense that Williams and Mack are the ones out, but who knows? Wouldn’t mind a look at Williams on a cheap deal (2yr/10 million?) Has had injury issues, but would be a strong #2.

The NFL raising the cap $30+ million will probably lead to some considerable overspending. Stinks for teams like the Bears and Commanders who strategically positioned themselves to be the big winners of this offseason.

I rly like the read on this player eval. Talks about Justin and Caleb’s pro’s/con’s but ultimately compares CW to Aaron Rogers
