No point in adding RoLo now when you barely have enough minutes for Drummond.

They have been playing Drummond with Vuc....

Aren't contracts prorated?

With $1.7m in cap space is their a point in the season we could wait till where two vets could fit into our remaining space? Would be a dream to sign both Thad Young and Gallo

Could you get someone like Taylor to agree to a buyout - be signed to G-league, and then be signed to camp deals and two-way spots for years to come for doing us a favor?

I imagine there's ways to get creative here.

Also i'd love to see a rule change in general where injured player exemptions don't count against the tax.

There isn't any name mentioned that's worth going into the tax

Harris, Gallo, Thad, what do the Bulls lack? It's not aging veterans that got bought out. It's young athletic kids who can get out and run in transition. They've got two sitting on the bench now in Terry and Phillips. Sanogo, Bitim and Drell have I think a combined 8 minutes of floor time. They don't even have to wash their warmups they move so little.

THE BIGGEST consideration, if they were to sign any name mentioned what happens?

You that want to play Drummond with Vuc more, that takes minutes away from who?
Are you just benching Patrick Williams who at last glance was 2nd on the team in 3pt% ?
Are you taking minutes from Ayo?
Are you going to continue the start Caruso basically at the 4?
Are you going to reduce the number of minutes Coby and Demar play?

Take a look at last night's rotation, Terry and Phillips did not play that I saw?
Terry Taylor is now and will be next year an NBA player, he's better than any 2nd round draft pick who will bounce between the end of the bench and the G League

They've got what they've got

What’s up with Joe Harris? His shooting has plummeted this season. Was he miserable in DET?

Personal preference.

Sign Gallo, release Drell from 2-way, sign Bouknight to 2-way (if that's possible).
Go Bulls... I guess!? Right!?

He's only played 16 games this season and has only attempted 30 threes. I'm willing to write that off as flukey small sample size nonsense.

He's been well over 40% from deep the past 6 seasons. Even if he's started to decline, I bet he could still hit 38%+ on mid to high volume.

I've always wanted Korkmaz. He's killed the Bulls a few times. And, if he'd suck you could shout, "That Furkan Korkmaz!"

I don’t think the Bulls have a shot at any desirable buyout targets, as we are the laughingstock of the NBA. I wonder if Thad even seriously considers returning.

Really hoping we grab thad young loved him when he was here and hated letting him go. He another savvy vet who is a great locker room dude can play make and contribute something positive every game.

I wouldn't mind Joe Harris for cheap. He was once a lethal 3pt shooter and was on the pistons. Alot of numbers will plummet playing on a horrible team like the pistons. Getting on a team playing for a playoff spot might reignite his shot.

Coming out with those 2 would be a better option than trading for Grant Williams or Gordon hawyood or whoever we think we should have been in on at the trade deadline

Furkan Korkmaz and Gallo would be my targets. Korea’s was a rotational player for the 76ers last year and is only 26.

Hard to imagine any legitimately helpful players wanting to sign with the 9th worst team in the entire NBA, but I guess it’s possible.

I wouldn't see it as a good situation for a buyout target. In a game against the Grizzlies G-League team Derozan & Vuc played almost 40 minutes and took almost half the team's shots. Caruso is a starter and got 4.
What is a buyout player gonna get? 2 MPG & 0 shots?

Chicago is 27th in the league in shot attempts for the bench.
The 3 teams below us are all contenders (Boston, Phoenix, Sixers).

We're not offering getting touches in the game, and we're not offering a deep playoff run.

The Bulls have even less playing time for a buyout guy when Craig is fully healthy and Patrick comes back, then even less time if they find more chances to play Vuc and Andre together.

I know I'm not thinking like 4 guard Billy but I want to make Ayo and Caruso the backup guards allowing Coby to play fewer minutes, have Williams start, sometimes with Craig and sometimes with Vuc/Andre depending on matchups and slide DeRozan to the SG and have him cut back on the minutes. That leaves Phillips and Terry for spot time. It's not like they substitute 5 for 5 ever, a starter of two come out early and mid way in the quarters.

The players that get waived do want to sign for playoff teams but they also want to get playing time and a role. They need to prove themselves for their next contract.

Bulls can offer that, Joe Harris for example would easily get 20+ minutes a game. Other better teams though might just take him for a limited role or for injury insurance.

There are these things called injuries, so signing some depth seems to be a good idea.

I mean, at least the Bulls give you an opportunity to play a lot. That's going to be a lot tougher on an actual good team with more than 6-7 real NBA-level players.
