Right when he was starting to play really well too of course. Tough break, errr sprain.

A sprain of a plantar fascia should not take that long to heal. There must be something else going on here beyond a plantar fascial sprain.

Oof, just when we were getting the warm and fuzzies about this team. Not a huge loss but still.

Must have been a bad tear of the tissue. Time for more Phillips. Also time for BD to sit down pat and tell him he needs 35 good minutes a night and sometimes even 40, each game until the end of the season. Time to level up Pat.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

Alright that sucks, plenty of minutes for Terry, Ayo, and Phillips I guess

That's fine. I like Craig, but this season is about the youth movement as much as possible. If that means growing pains for Terry and Phillips, then so be it. It would be great if at least one of the two step up in the next few weeks.

That's not to say Craig won't be missed, he will be, but this season should have never been about wins and losses, but progressing our young players and pushing them forward.
Why so serious?

NGL, I kinda got a little excited when Pat and Terry were flying around on defense and transition for a minute last night. Terry is a mistake a minute but he does bring energy.

It will be a big loss. I get the youth movement but Craig is the exact sort of player that pairs well with guys like Coby & Pat. He plays winning low usage basketball, gives you a veteran presence and is someone you can count on to do the dirty work. I think we'll notice a significant difference if you replace his minutes with Terry & Phillips.

Did you forget when Noah had similar thing? It affected him most of the season. The only way to heal is to keep pressure off the foot for weeks.

yea, and just when you think it's healed you play again and it flares up. Given the timeline I've already written him off. Maybe he can return sometime in late March and be helpful. But he's going to be off his feet for a while.

Oof. That’s a blow. Craig has been huge for us and our frontline depth is poor. Will be interesting if Philips/Taylor get some real burn or if we end up signing a free-agent.

Sucks. Knowing Caruso will miss games here and there as well. This also means we're probably going to see more Dalen. I hope we see more Julian instead.

What a shame. Torrey plays with a lot of heart.
Phillips, Adama you're up.

Hmm. I hate it for him but I don’t hate it for the Bulls.

No. This is something I specialize in. The timeline suggests something more severe.

I mean it's obvious it's probably a grade 3 sprain, so "sprain" here is doing too much work. It's more like he ripped it in half. They are gonna try and let it heal naturally and go from there. As I said, I've written him off, maybe he can come back in late March but he's going to be super far behind on conditioning and rusty.

Time to try the Vuc/Drummond pairing if the FO refuses to sign another PF. Caruso will just get hurt if they make him play PF again.
