Bulls Ring of Honor 1/12/2024

Post#1 » by ScrantonBulls » Thu Jan 11, 2024 6:48 pm

Tomorrow is the Bulls Ring of Honor. They'll be honoring some coaches, players and the 95-96 team. Does anybody have any idea who will be there? I'm wondering if we'll see MJ and Scottie there. That would certainly be interesting after Scottie's book and the Marcus Jordan fiasco. Hopefully we see MJ around more now that he sold most of the Hornets. I'm hoping we see Phil as well. MJ, Scottie and Phil are being honored outside of the 95-96 team.

I know nada about this, will be interesting if pip is there seeing how much he trashed everyone to sell his book.

side note: I was at the 20th anniversary celebration for the first title team. Awesome experience. When they announced MJ the UC exploded; loudest UC experience i have ever been apart of. Hope he and everyone else shows up.

I love watching videos where MJ returns. I remember the place exploding when MJ first returned as a Wizard.

I'll be at the game and I'll die if MJ isn't there.

I know Randy Brown will be there, they mentioned it on the broadcast.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

I really hope that snow storm doesn't hit and effect the turnout of the honorees.

I was going to say, terrible luck that there will be a literal blizzard on the day of this ceremony. MJ seems like a "fly in, attend, fly back on the same day" kind of guy. If he's planning on attending hopefully he flew in today (along with anyone else who was planning to join)

That sucks MJ won’t be making it. Wonder how much the awkwardness with Pippen factored into it.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Just seeing those tweets really brings me back all the great memories as a fan during the dynasty era. Great times. Many of us here are lucky to have experienced those moments in real-time.

No Pippen, Jordan, or Rodman? I get Pippen and Jordan due to their whole thing going on but I thought Rodman would show

he probably just didn't give a **** and somebody had to tell him "man, you gotta at least make a 30 second video!"

in fairness to mj, i also don't give a ****. Sox and Bulls are doing all this nostalgic bull to drum up interest because the teams are dumpster fires. i'd rather watch a winning team than to "honor" these guys for the umpteenth time because it's the only thing the Bulls have ever accomplished. The guy who made it happen can't even be bothered to attend, shows how much of a façade it is.

MJ's PR team have probably been on this for the last few weeks, and decided this is the best course of action for MJ. He has a billion dollar brand that he's protecting and this event is just not worth it. Not much to gain, just nostalgia, there's more risk there with his situation with Pippen. Further complicated with Marcus and Larsa situation. Regarding this topic though, to Marcus: "Why? you can pick anybody you want and not putting your family's business in an awkward difficult situation."
