This was the foundation of that Zach to Pistons trade negotiation. AKME probably asked to include one of Pistons young core, probably Ivey.

Good trade by Knicks, they're trying to compete now. Especially with Sixers falling.

Good deal for both teams. I like Grimes, and wanted a similar deal for DDR, NY needs guys who can consistently score off the bench.

Crazy... AKME is way over their heads in this continuity pursuit. They're like the extreme anti-tanking.

They're not looking to get draft assets

It's just so frustrating. This is such a seller's market, Olynyk nets a first rounder and Hield nets three 2nd rounders. Bulls probably could get a 1st rounder for Drummond, two for Caruso, maybe one for DDR. We fans all know that the team's not going anywhere as currently constructed. First rounders are damned valuable to a smart front office. (Aye, there's the rub.)

That seems like a stupid trade for Detroit. Just goes to show though that deals are out there.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

Knicks winning the trade deadline so far.

ESPN on in the background trying to hype up Philly getting Hield, please. It's irrelevant, especially of Joel is hurt. Hield isn't moving any needles.

Where would he get minutes though?

Guards -
Coby, Ayo should be getting bulk of minutes
Carter, Caruso and Terry getting the rest

Forward - Williams, DeRozan get the bulk
Craig, Phillips getting the rest

Still have Bitim, Drell, Tyler looking for minimal minutes, if anything we need a PF off the Buyout Market not a Guard

Watch the Knicks sign him. They're taking all the shooters.

Though I'm intrigued to see how Thibs is gonna do with all these no-defense shooters now on the roster.

PJ Washington going for a 1st along with Williams/Curry is crazzyy. Theres no way AKME arent getting offers of value

I thought that was an overpay at first glance.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

I really like what the Knicks have done, they actually have a competent FO? There may be hope for us to finally get it right at some point.

I also like OKC grabbing Hayward. I know he's always hurt but if he can be slotted in for 15-20 minutes when Giddey isnt working, its a slam dunk for them. Good vet wing presence for them.

I thought OKC should've gone after Caruso and Drummond even if they had to over pay by a small amount. But it looks like AK wasn't seriously considering trading either player.
