Bears 2024 2.0

Justin gets graded on CHGO for his whole season. Slight regression. If tossing out his bad games at beginning, he becomes a basic NFL starter that will become overpaid in a couple seasons.

It's true our QB accounted for a lot of rushing yards but I really dont see RB as a position we need to upgrade. Between Roschon, Herbert and Foreman, I think we're set there. It seems to me we did put as much emphasis on running the ball this season compared to previous years. If we had, I think our backs would have had more yards. I also think if DET's backs look better, at least part of that is because their line is much better.

I know a lot of people miss Monty, but I think we were wise to use that money elsewhere.

You’re probably right here. But Monty was always a great runner when he was here. Even last year when the line was arguably worse than what it was this past year. I think RJ is going to be really good for us though, which makes moving on from Monty more plausible.

I don't think Foreman will be back, given how the season ended and his apparent displeasure with his role.

If we trade Fields I'd be quite happy if we could do Fields for Bijan straight up. Seems like a pretty good 1 for 1 deal for both teams.

Drake Maye is the best player in this draft.

Apparently Ben Johnson to the commanders isn’t as set in stone as people think. Of he does stay with the lions, that gives us another shot at him next season. Regardless I think we’re in a pretty decent position as far as our HC. Either eberflus does great do we keep him or, there were so many great candidates this season that next season half of them will still be available

Just to answer this from the last thread... Not at all. I love when my teams win all the time. It's just when other teams win all the time that it bothers me. :D

I could be convinced. He's got a lot of nice attributes.

I think there will be more discussion if Maye is QB 2 or QB 3 (with Daniels QB2), then there will be if Maye is QB1.

One question I had about the BAL game yesterday- why couldn't Lamar find anyone open? He had all day to throw in the second half, and it seemed like he never found anyone open. Is the KC defense that good, the BAL WR's that bad, or did Lamar just not find them?

ATL would laugh us off the phone if I’m being completely honest.

Well your team Washington is in great position to draft him.

This is wack. Bagent should be an option and he’s definitely too dreamy to be “other”.

If the consensus if that Fields is worth a 2nd and a 4th, you'd have to ask if Atlanta would trade Bijan for a 2nd and a 4th? Probably not. Mostly because Fields will need to be paid soon and Bijan still has a lot of rookie contract left.

I feel the exact same way!

A taller Kyler Murray seems fair. Comparing someone to a literal HOF'er is such a disservice to both Mahomes and Williams.
We don't comp prospects to Tom Brady or Payton Manning.

I guess it depends on your definition of "comparison". Saying that they're the exact same player is lazy and ridiculous. Saying that Williams can change arm angles and play off-script like Mahomes is fair.

Basically I think it's fine to compare traits, but comparing expected careers is pretty silly.

I would be suprised if they brought Foreman back. I dont think the Bears need to "upgrade" at RB as much as diversify skill sets - Herbert and Foreman do the same thing albeit with different body types - one cut down hill runners that cant block or run routes beyond HB screen or a flare out of the backfield. Bears need a true 3rd down back that has a bigger route tree that can be motioned to the slot and can pass block so that the RB stable have complementary skill sets not duplicate ones, they dont need an 8 figure FA or a high draft pick RB imo.

Exactly. I think Fields would be a nice QB pickup for them. But now is the absolute last moment that you’d want to trade Bijan because he is like in his most value added years. No way they are trading him for a player that they know they will have to pay.
