No bullets were dodged. Bulls just won. They took it to the Pacers and won.

Fantastic news on Coby. Almost the best possible result. I thought even a muscle strain would keep him out for a few weeks.

KC reporting he's merely questionable for tonight.

Good news.

Great news. And thanks Woj for slipping in "Most Improved Player" in there!

Good news. Now here’s the thing; this Bulls staff has a history of clearing our guys from a light strain, and then watching it develop into a much worse injury.

That's great for Coby, he deserves MIP this season and it would have sucked for this injury to rob him of it.
And Derozan has to be a unanimous Clutch Player this season? Is anyone else even close?

Damn you for being right.

Really one of those - what's the point of doing a review moment. They showed the replay 10+ times last night during the review and every time from every angle it was clearly a foul on Nesmith. That they called it a non-shooting foul originally clearly shows they called the foul on the contact before any alleged "arm hooking" (which I still think was just another foul on Nesmith).

I know we had the free throw advantage, but that was just an awful awful call that left me completely baffled

It was absolutely the right call and DDR had been doing it even worse to Nesmitb all night long. There was a hilarious moment in the first half when DDR looked like he got absolutely mugged by Nesmith around the FT line and they called the foul on Nesmith.

The funny part was when they went to slo mo replay it was obvious that DDR with his crafty ninja moves had been offensively fouling Nesmith throughout the play, and listening to Stacy have to stick with the company line that Nesmith was Mr. Five to Ten on the Streets.

I obviously disagree - that they called it on the floor and not in the act of shooting was the clearest indicator to me. When you look at the contact generated before he goes into the act of shooting it's all Nesmith. Hand on DeRozan's side, yes grabbing his jersey, reaching through as he turned one direct, and then having his arm pinned when DeRozan spun back but at that point DeRozan was in the act of shooting, which the refs clearly said was not the foul they called.

A critical question I have after that review is "can you foul someone after a foul is called"?

I still think if you stick your arm in there and a player spins and shoots in a natural basketball motion, which i would consider the move DeMar made to be that (he did after all cleanly knock down the shot), it is and should be a foul on the defender. One can see it differently, but Nesmith still fouled DeRozan before that.

five to ten being a classic exaggeration from King as it wasn't anything eggregious - but it was contact initiated by Nesmith.

Not finding any video of it online for us to watch it another 10 times unfortunately
