Derrick Rose Stat Tracker FINAL - 16.8 PPG, 6.3 APG, 3.9 RPG
In this thread, we will track Derrick Rose's stats for his Rookie Season. Things are looking pretty good right now. I'm going to include a chart that tracks his averages for the season, if we can notice any slumps or "on fire periods". I've always been an excel whore, so I'll be manually keeping an excel sheet with Points, Assists, and Rebounds. I'll also be updating it after every game. So, here goes.
Impact score
Impact score is Derrick's total impact on the game. The score takes Points, Assists, Rebounds, and Turnovers into account, and creates an overall game score. Points count for 1 point each, assists count for 2 points each, turnovers count for -2 points, and FG attempts count for -.125 points. I wanted to give us a chance to look at Derrick's overall contribution to the game in one data point. This way, we can see strings of good games and bad games with only one data point.
Current Stats:

I'm pretty sure Derrick is not averaging over 10 apg as you chart shows.

Oh, and over the course of a season the chart is going to be relatively flat. You might consider doing your averages on the previous 10 games. It will better show peaks and valleys during the season.

Sumthins off. Points look about right, but your rebounds and assists have him hovering at a "triple double". I think the kid has that kind of game where he could be a "TD" threat, but he's not averaging a triple double now.

I'll think about doing a 5 game trend chart.

My bad the points are "off" because no time on the chart had him at reaching 20 he's done it 5 times but rebounds and assist are spot on

Bully, stuff was off before, but I fixed it. This is average, not actual points, assists, and rebounds.

Dude is impressive.
And to compare him to rookie Paul who was the greatest rookie PG ever after 11 games. Paul was at 17 ppg, 6.5 ast, 5.5 rebound and 2.5 to in 36 minutes per game on 44% shooting.

I thought he had 9 assists in yesterday (Game #11), why is it set at 6?

Re: Derrick Rose Stat Tracker - 19.5 PPG, 5.9 APG, 4.8 RPG
Rose is clearly the best rookie in the league. What's amusing is how all the experts were predicting about 4-5 other rookies to have better seasons this year than Rose. What's incredible is that he isn't even close to being fully polished offensively and is still better than any other rookie currently playing.
The most important stat to me is his 38.3 mpg, which is second only to Mayo's 38.5 mpg. Before the season, my only concern was that Rose woudn't be getting enough playing time because Del Negro might feel the need to play the scrub guards more than they should be playing. That doesn't seem to be a problem.

It isn't a problem b/c for Pax and VDN, they have no choice. Rose is just that good.

I like this. We should sticky it to have a general place to discuss general Rose things during the season.
Instead of three new threads after every game, "Derrick Rose is awesome!" stuff.

This chart is correct the other is off because it says that the he never scored over 20 points and he never had over 5 rebounds and he only had over 5 assists once.

The other shows his averages, not his per game totals.

Yep, mine is a show of how his PPG averages are. If you guys want, I can make the chart for per game totals as well. I can include that in my next update.

The per game one isn't good because it'll be all over the map and you'll be hard pressed to read it later in the season unless you magnify it 30 fold. How about a per5 or per10 game average chart?
