I have a good feeling about this. This isn't to say I believe Amare will 100% be a Bull, but from all of this I believe Paxson has done nothing wrong in pursuing Amare. If it doesn't happen, then the package that was taken should look better than ours.

But again, I think there is a bluff going on with this "mystery Eastern Conference team." There are 15 teams in the East. Nobody can hide.

There's a hidden 16th team in the Eastern Conference that have vowed to only reveal themselves if they get Amare Stoudemire.

To me, he seems like Chicago's Noah piece. He's something you don't want to include, but if it comes down to it, it's not worth losing out on Amare to NOT give him up.

Just an outsiders view though.

No, Chalmers is really good. I wouldn't give him up if I were Miami, either. Not unless the Suns were taking Blount off of the Heat's hands. Good PGs aren't easy to find. And it's not as if the Heat are desperate to get Amare right now.

I haven't seen a lot of him... Admittedly. Other than his defense what is so great about him that makes him a deal killer?

His numbers aren't bad for a PG playing next to Wade, but they aren't anything special either. Is it a floor impact thing?

I know. Just posting it here, anyway. Since no on knows exactly what is going on.

We'll see if any other Phoenix poster can validate what he said. I figure if he's telling the truth, others must have heard the same on the radio.

IMO it comes down to miami, chicago, detroit...i think kerr is trying to get the most out of teams, he prob wants noah added from chi's end, stuckey from det and chalmers from miami...if no team up their offer, i still expect amare to get traded to miami unless joe d offers up stuckey which would make it interesting

I don't buy it, either. But if the Heat do get Amare, it'll be with Marion and Beasley included, not that Blount crap you were trying to sell earlier today.

he is on a rookie deal for 3 more years, he hits the 3, plays good defense, IMO has rajon rondo type potential...many heat fans think hes more untouchable than beasley...hes just an unbelievable fit for us, youd have to watch heat games to understand...w/o him, i think our record would be much worse

I don't think any GM is so stupid that Noah/Chalmers would be a deal breaker. I don't believe it. Its negotiating.

Amare and Wade on the same team.

Anyone thinking if Miami acquire Amare right now, their favorite son Wade skips town in 2010, it at least hurts their chances, right?

It'll be like Kobe and Shaq, Wade and Shaq all over. Wade and Amare.

I don't want to get your guys' hopes down or anything but a guy on the Suns board is saying local radio hosts who have inside connections with the organization are saying no deals are going to be happening with the Bulls, Pistons, Heat, Pacers or Blazers.

im not even sold that amare makes us a championship caliber team...i mean, wed still need a center IMO, i dont think it would be prudent to play him next to haslem and expect to go all the way and i would def be sad seeing beasley go...but ive seen riley here for 12 years and there is 1 common theme to his trades: win now, future be damned

Alright, I believe you, like I said I was only commenting as an outsider.

However, in that case I have to believe that a package of Noah/Tyrus/thabo/Gooden/#1 beats the hell out of what Miami can offer if Chalmers is off the table.

They don't have a lot of rebuilding pieces other than Chalmers, Beasley and capspace. If Chalmers is off the table, then it seems like their offer is sort of knocked off it's feet.

It seems like the Bulls offer should beat most on the table at this point as well. They aren't the best players in the league, but the best aren't being offered, and the way Tyrus has been playing he is in the next tier (at least recently). Plus you never know what another year of Noah/Thabo development could land.

I already knew Bulls won't be getting him. I am shocked Pistons and Heat are supposedly mentioned in that equation. Sounds like Rudy Gay than.

Return to Chicago Bulls
