Damn that first month is ROUGH.

Well, I guess we'll see what Rose is made of right from the start.

I think we'll hang tough with San Antonio, they certainly won't blow us out at home, but that will be a tough one.

Boston?? Ehhhhh, that one may get ugly...

Our first preseason game is Oct 2nd, how long is training camp? Camp will start in Sept, which I thought is earlier than the past right?

According to an article posted at NBA.com, the season starts on October 27th. That means we have to wait until the third night before our first game. That sucks. Here's the article:

http://www.nba.com/2009/news/features/a ... index.html

2 points of interest: (1) Clippers and Lakers go head to head on national tv on opening night. That's right, the Clippers.

More relevent to this thread, the Spurs play the Hornets on October 28th. So our opening night game is the second night of a back-to-back for San Antonio.

^^They're not "the clippers." anymore, they dumped Z-Bo and they have the likely ROY in Blake Griffin. Putting him and his team face to face against the defending champs, especially being that both teams are in the same city, is an interesting prospect for national TV and should give the talking heads lots of points to ponder/discuss.

I don't disagree. Still an odd choice for opening night in my opinion. Clippers are still not a challenge to the Lakers and the choice limits the primary television viewing markets to one city instead of two.

Griffin is a well known draft pick, but he's not a LeBron or a Durant/Oden matchup.

The Bulls need to win one of the two first games that are being nationally televised.

All four of the Boston games are on national television.

Interestingly, none of the Bulls/Pistons games are on national television. Doesn't the NBA know how earth shattering that free agency move was?

Another November in the hole. Bulls can't lose home games this year to lesser competition because there's not that big of a difference between the 4th seed and 10th place.
Luol Deng's contract is a cancer eating at the Bulls.

Did anybody else notice that our home tipoff changed from 7:30 to 7?

When it comes to them, they'll be soooo pissed.

As we've found out in the past, the national broadcast games are subject to change.

Holy **** the Bulls have a tough schedule to start off with. Probably the toughest in recent memory on paper. Should be really fun around these parts....

My god, what a terrible way to open up the season. We barely have a day off and we are playing against Elite Teams! Ugh..
