Who should they be? Roster has been in flux since last offseason

Aaron Gray, Kirk Hinrich, and Taj Gibson.

It was interesting on KC's piece about team captains, he didn't mention Rose as one of the guys in the running.

Deng and Rose

I would assume Brad Miller, Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich get the nod. Noah is a dark horse though.

Should be: Rose, Noah, Kirk

Will be: Deng, Kirk, Miller

Gonna go Brad, Kirk, and Deng. Possibly Hunter since he's just an assistant coach anyhow. Would say Rose, but he isn't vocal enough yet. And they wont give it to Noah until he gets more under control. But I can see him as a future captain. With a KG type of demeanor. What time are they announcing it?

Agreed with the Kirk, Luol, Brad trio.

Why not give it to Rose and Noah? Noah has pretty much been the vocal leader since he got here. He stepped up last year when we needed him most and looks to be one of our best players this year.

Rose is the franchise, the sooner he seizes control of this team like Paul/Deron/Nash/Billups etc do, the better.

Rose isn't a vocal team leader, it's never been his thing. Just cause you are not captain doesn't mean you can't be the team's best player. He has to EARN the title of captain, there is no giving that to him.

Deng & Kirk were captains last year.

They almost certainly will be again. To not name them would be an insult.

If they name a third, it'll be between Rose & Noah. If Rose wants it, he's got it.

Otherwise Noah will be the third guy

I think Vinny does it different. I think they were appointed last year

i expect deng and kirk will be named captains as they should be. rose must EARN his captaincy, not have it bestowed upon him. if he's the franchise player, prove it. i'd vote for noah too as a third.

You might be right. But I thought when I read the blurb it said something about the players voting yesterday.

KC Johnson mentioned at the end of his short article today, that the players voted on this yesterday and will be announced today.

I'm hoping for Kirk, Rose, Noah trio.

Kirk no doubt.

I think Miller should be, well-traveled vet that players respect.

Hunter maybe? Geez. Young team.

Looks like you are right about them voting this year.
I am almost certain that there was no vote last year. At least I never read about one.
Since players are voting, Kirk will almost certainly get one. I'll go with Deng & Noah for the others
