B & B "Rumor": Bosh for Hinrich, Tyrus, pick

Post#1 » by red222 » Thu Jan 7, 2010 12:01 am

May include more going to Toronto... They didn't name a source, but implied it's got something behind it.

Discuss.

EDIT:
Here's what was actually said:

A little basketball note here. And sometimes you hear these things and you think it's just the right thing to do to pass it along. We heard a rumor that kind of bubbled up last week or several days ago, over the weekend, about Kirk Hinrich being involved in a trade to the Washington Wizards for Caron Butler. Well try this on for size as something that is percolating. And as of now, that's all I can tell you, and I'm not gonna say that this is a done deal, that it's even close, but as far as something that is out there as a possibility...

First blush, what do you ya think?

Hinrich, Tyrus Thomas, and at least one pick to the Toronto Raptors for Chris Bosh.

They could have "heard" it on RealGM, or anywhere. They're just putting it out there.

Would be one of the biggest steals of all time. Unfortunately, there's no reason to believe B & B on this one.

How many years? 4? Yeah, I think it's 4 years. 4 years this mythical PF has been rumored to available for players we very conveniently don't want much anyway.

Yes, another point guard who is too good to let rot on the bench but not good enough to win games for you is exactly what Toronto would look for if they dealt Bosh in-season. Definitely. Maybe they think Calderon, Hinrich and Jack can all play at the same time?

Um, I think I'd do that deal, but if it was that easy to pry Bosh away from Toronto it would have happened months ago.
Can I borrow a feeling?

This really makes no sense whatsoever. How good are B&B at reporting stuff? werent they the same guys that said the Kobe deal was in place?

Toronto is on a roll and their a 6th seed with a good chance to be the 5th at the end of the year. There's no point to this unless Bosh has already told management he doesnt intend to return, which i find very doubtful

Thatd be pretty miserable locking up long term money for 3 average point guards.

We should totally go and tell them how awesome Tyrus is. And by "them" I mean Bryan Colangelo and Maurizio Gheradini. They need to know.

Would that "something" be doo doo?

I'd do this deal with ruthless expedition.
Scottie Pippen's response to whom he would pick for his running mate, Michael or LeBron: "That's a dumbass question. I've never done anything with LeBron. I wouldn't take LeBron to the movies."

I don't know what'd be luckier -- landing Rose using 1.7% or Toronto being this dumb

There are three guarantees in life
1. Death
2.Taxes
3. If you mention to a Toronto fan about a Bosh trade/ him opting out to play in Miami, they will attack like 50,000 ninjas on PCP. They act like you called their mother a whore or something
Just a must-watch army of possessed ass-kickers laying the smack down night after night after night. People are gonna hate playing the Bulls this year.

Seriously though...we're not this stupid. Unless the "pick" is New Jersey's #1, this aint happening.

What incentive do they have to take Hinrich? They may as well make us take Turkoglu if they're giving us Bosh.

Something like Miller, James, Thomas, and several picks for Bosh and Turk would at least be some what appealing from a financial standpoint.

This rumor is definitlely bogus. Imagine selling this idea to a fan-base:
Calderon
Hinrich
Hedo
Bargnani
Mystery Big Man
