CINCINNATI -- It appears possible that Reds pitcher Bronson Arroyo's long-reported possible contract extension could be wrapped up soon.
Foxsports.com reported on Monday that Arroyo could sign a two-year extension as soon as this week. Arroyo's 2011 club option, worth $11.5 million, was picked up on Thursday. The total amount for the three added years in Cincinnati could be worth between $36 million-$39 million. "There have been discussions, but I wouldn't say I'm optimistic or pessimistic," Arroyo's agent, Terry Bross, said on Monday. "It'd be premature to comment that anything is imminent or not imminent."

He has been solid for the Reds and he eats up innings every year, so I wouldn't mind seeing it get done.
