Good win in extra innings tonight. Once again the bottom of the order in Tulowitzki and Iannetta came up big in the 11th. I thought Francis pitched very well in through 6 innings, bullpen also looked good tonight other than the lone run Kim gave up.

Nice to get a win. I thought sure it was over the way the Colorado bats were lacking there. Let's win this series and move on to San Diego.

I was a bit surprised to see that BY Kim wasn't in the starting rotation for the Rockies. Was it just poor performance in the spring or was he beaten out for a spot?

Him and Josh Fogg battled it out during the spring and Fogg earned it for now, BY wasn't happy about it and is still the next in line if something happens to one of the other starters.

i liked the way we won this game. rockies teams in the past would have gone 1-2-3 really fast in the bottom of the 11th after giving up a run, but we came back to tie, then win, the game. i like it even more because it was fueled by the guy who i've been hyping up for a while now, the rookie, tulowitzki. and it was finished by the other rookie, ianetta. it's good getting these guys these types of experiences early in the season, it only helps them grow faster. let's go for the series win tomorrow!

Tomorrow or Today is going to be interesting to see if Lopez can get back into a groove. I heard he didn't have a good start to the Season last year.

Dam it I jinxed the Diamondbacks thinking the game was over. I apologize to the Diamondbacks and our fans. :(

Good win today, Carroll and Torrealba looked good as both of them had 3 hits and just about everybody else had at least 2 hits.

And Jeff Baker must be the best pinch hitter in the league, I think hes 3-3 now with a home run and 2 RBIs.

Yep it was a great game I mean at 1st I was getting Frustrated because we kept leaving people on Base in Scoring Position and I was worried D-Backs were going to tie the score up in that 4th or 5th inning whatever inning it was Lopez had trouble in. BUt he settled down and was able to only allow 1 run in that whole thing.

I really breathed a sigh of relief in that 8th when we really broke out.

Well folks won the 1st series of the 2007

Bring on the Padres.

Great game today and Lopez was amazing. Nice series for the Rockies taking care of buisness at home which is a must, especially with the long road trip we have now 2/3 really was key. Hopefully the bats and starting pitching carry over to SD on fri. playing the first 19 against division it would be nice to get off to a real solid start.

agreed, lopez looked good in his first start in a rockies uni. the bats came around later in the day. and winning a series at home is always good. and with the next like 5 series coming against NL west teams, it'll be nice to take one series at a time and hopefully be able to win each series. that'd be a nice start to the year. good game today and good series. good week in CO for sports (wish i could be there), with rockies opening nicely, nuggets playing some big games, avs closing out the year with one last playoff push, and rapids opening their brand new stadium on nat'l tv on saturday!!

Great win. Nice to see Holliday have a solid game. They're really going to have to find more playing time for Jeff Baker, the guy is a stud. 2 of 3 from Arizona, now on to San Diego.

Return to Colorado Rockies
