Will Verlander be able to do what hes done-considering the amount of pitches hes thrown? Hopefully no lack of success from him next year.
Does Valverde struggle like many closers do after such a great year?
Does Al Albuquerque have success next season?
Do we go out and get another dominant bullpen presence to go along with Benoit and Valverde (assuming they continue to have success)?
How much money do we give Delmon Young?
Does Brennan Boesch return to form? (The way he was playing early 2010, and before his injury).
Who will be the fifth guy in our rotation? Do we call someone up or get someone via free agency?

I look forward to TSE's response. As we all know he has all the answers. In fact I'm not even sure why Bud Selig has a job with someone like TSE walking the planet.

Maybe early on, but not overall.
Yes.
The Tigers, of course they do.
$4-5 mil a year, no real idea, that is just a guess.
Yes.
Some cheap one year or two year guy. Hopefully better then Penny. 11 wins is good for a no.5, but a 5.30 ERA is not.

I'd add a couple more questions to that list
1) who will play 2nd?
2) who will play 3rd?

Pretty hard to top or equal a near MVP season, I guess I'll take the under, but I wouldn't bet any $ on it.
Don't care, he's just trade bait to me cause we have too many problems.
Wild card, not predictable, so it will be what it is.
Yes, and I will be extremely pissed when we do.
Way more than we should have or that he deserves.
Doesn't matter, we have jack for quality OFs plus depth right now and he's young and cheap, so no point in asking the question, just play the dude and let it be. Nobody is going to trade anything special for him so we are stuck with him and there's no decision to make right now, so picking a level of success for him isn't relevant right now.
I'm dying to find out, or maybe finding out will be what kills me when I see the amount of millions or trade material we give up to get this Mr. X?

My guess is 2 non-TSE approved players. Castellanos will probably get to play about 20 games, and then he will get traded for a relief pitcher......that costs 10 million dollars of course, and oh he can't pitch very well either.

Re: Early questions going into next season..
We don't have to pay Delmon anything, he's still under contract through next season.
With Maggz/Guillen coming off the books, we should be able to go out and get a real 2B so we don't have Raburn playing so damn much.

But he still has to get money for that contract. And that's a liability and a reduction to our overall spending equity. That's a cost and a detraction from obtaining highly qualified foundation players for the future. Delmon's not good enough to qualify for what should be our standards.

You don't have to give Young anything and you shouldn't. Just non-tender him.

Laird is back as a backup catcher. Apparently Martinez won't be doing that at all.
I hated Laird when he was here and nothing has changed. At least he is a backup this time

Re: Early questions going into next season..
Ok, but whats your feelings on him vs Omir Santos? I wasn't the biggest Laird fan either, but we're looking at a filler guy. If he can hit at least .230 in his 100-120 at bats, I'll be fine with him.
