I still think we're another starter, a C and a CF away from being a team that is "For Real"

DEFENSE! and HEALTH!
First of all, this week, hopefully we can get Jacobs back and sign Jones. That's a start. It'll bring some pop back into our lineup (Uggla can't do it alone). This will also allow Alfredo to be our utility guy....so we bring him in late to play some D in the infield.
Soon after that, around mid-season, we should have Willingham and Mitre back. Both will solidify our bench. Willingham will allow for Gonzalez and Ross to be available to pinch-hit. Mitre could compete for a starting spot..or long relief. Either way, our bullpen would get stronger.
Plus eventually, we may see Chris Volstad come up and help us out. I think our Catching platoon is fine.
Basically, I don't see us adding anything big to our starting lineup...but our bench and bullpen will become stronger. That, plus improved defense should make us "for real".
