fatten up on us like the final series of last season, Willie?

Delgado is making $16M this year to the contract WE were supposed to be paying him (thank goodness we got out of that disaster)

Luis Castillo no longer resembles the guy who played for us, he is still a capable second baseman, but his best days are past him

think if we win tonight, Willie is in a must win for game 3? Tonight is Miller vs Johan, so this is a tough one for us, but would be GREAT if we could come through

I'd still love for us to add a veteran starter this season (if it keeps up with us in the race) - someone who can eat innings and take some pressure off the 'pen and the kid starters, although I think a better chance is calling up Volstad or Tucker from AA. At some point Anibal Sanchez and Mitre are still supposedly coming back too...

I hate it when the Marlins announcers say our top 3 starters are out with injuries

when sanchez and JJ havent proven anything, and Mitre who was AMG OUR ACE FROM LAST YEARZ had a 4.65 ERA last year and a .303 batting average against.

i dont think this team really takes that into consideration much, and just goes and plays ball out there; like danny haren and brandon webb found out....

Josh Johnson was one of the better pitchers in NL when was playing.....

meh, I never saw what the big deal was with Josh... I mean he was alright, but compare him to Andrew Miller, Miller has MUCH better stuff... like when we had the young Burnett, Beckett, and Penny, they may have had their ups and downs early in their careers but their stuff was electric and stood out, you could see why people were excited over them... I don't see it with Josh, and certainly not with Mitre

Well, yeah. Burnet, Beckett and Penny HAD it, and you could SEE their stuff.

Johnson was good, not as great as them, but he could've been a solid #2 if not #3 pitcher for us, had he been healthy.

Considering it was a blown save from someone we least expected to blow a save, the L isn't the end of the world for us.

The Mets were playing desperate, and were pulling everything out of their pockets to get the W; you don't always brings in the closer in a 6-6 game in a normal game when you still have other RPs....

Let's see how we do in Philly....
