Berkmans power numbers and RBI's.

Post#1 » by baseballjunky33 » Mon Apr 2, 2007 4:12 am

With the accusation of Carlos Lee, I believe Berkman will have more HR's and RBI's. i believe his HR's will go up by at least 10 and his RBI's will have to go up 15 to 25. Do you believe this is long shot? There is going to be so much protection in the line up now. Dont forget we also signed Loretta who in the last three years has an .365 average obp.

Well he hit 45 HRs last season, and IMO he has overachieved slightly. I predict 40+ HR not quite in the 50s..But there's no doubt that his RBI's will increase.

I can't see him hittin 50+ HR's but barring injury he should have another solid season, hitting around .300 or better, 35+ HR's, 115+ RBI's and of course, very good slugging % and OBP %.

The guy the protection is really going to help is Ensberg. He'll be in the 2-hole, and by all accounts his shoulder is feeling great. He could be a big key to a successful season.

Berkman finally has a protection piece in Lee. He will replicate his 06' numbers easily.

Thank God we have Lee now instead of Wilson, lol.

Burke playing more every day, I think Ensberg will bounce back, Scott should continue to be solid, and I think Lane will bounce back when he plays as well. Not to mention the addition of a guy like Loretta.

We SHOULD have a much more consistant and efficient offense this year, but we shall see.

I'm still worried about the back end of our rotation, atleast as far as Wandy goes, since IMO he's complete garbage. I think Samson will be good however, and Jennings should be pretty solid and give us alot of innings.

GO STROS!

I think Berkman will have about 42, and 145 RBI's, just because Lee is here, his numbers for RBI's should increase, and Lee I am predicting about 36, and 126RBI, our offense is loaded, its just our pitching.

I read somewhere that if Lee doesn't reach 40 HRs, it will be considered a disappointment.

Well ionio about that Bow2Yao because the past 6 yrs, he has hit 30+, and a 100+ every season, and the highest number I belive he ever got to was 42, or 37.

Lee should hit around 40, maybe slightly less. He's going to have alot of Crawford Boxes HR's I'm sure.

I just hope our defense isn't terrible, I'm not sold on Burke in CF and Lee, while being better than people give him credit for, is certainly not much better than average, if that.

Our infield defense should be just fine though, Ensberg/Everett are solid and Berkman is a pretty solid 1B as well.

Well if you guys know Lee can also play 3rd base, lets say in the future, Lee is still as big as a threat as he is now offenesivly, but he is a wreck defensively, then don't be surprised if they end up trading Ensberg, even if he is doing good, because Lee, like Berkman also has weight issues.

They should be the same as last year...may be a couple less cuz its not easy to have monster seasons consistently....but i think his BA will be a bit higher

Unless your name of course isn't David Ortiz, then it is pretty hard to, lol.

Big Papi broke out of his slump. So did Pujols.
