The day we won't have to worry about who we're penciling in as the catcher, is a damn good day. Mathis won't cut it. Napoli doesn't have good enough defense behind the plate. Conger has shoulder problems and will likely have to move off the position.

Stole one from the Yanks with tonight's 10-2 victory. Great contributions from O'Sullivan, Izturis, and surprisingly Matsui. Came to New York hoping for 1 out of 2 and end up snatching the first game to relieve some of the pressure off of tomorrow's game.

I knew this was coming, which is why I'm glad we snuck a win in the first game. 6-0 Yankees in the top of the 5th inning right now. Piniero getting rocked at a day game at Yankee stadium. Definitely happy with a 1-1 split of the series though.

6-1 Yanks after Fransden RBI single up the middle to score Rivera, who led the inning off with a double. Man on first with no outs. Rally time! (hopefully)

Bobby Wilson with a GREAT at bat fouling off tons of pitches, resulting in a 2-run homerun to leftfield! 6-3 Yankees. Still no outs. Maybe this game can be had too?

Awesome. Four straight hits to start off the 5th inning. Aybar on first with no outs... let's continue!

Top 7th, 6-5 Yankees thanks to a Matsui 2-run homerun. 2-run homeruns seem to be the trend in this tiny two-game series.

Shields with no command of his fastball decides to keep throwing instead of his devastating slider. 10-5 Yanks. White flag has been for today's game.

Bring on Texas.
