And he was really good last night.

Neddy, I’m wondering if your YEARS of loyalty (and knowledge) are gonna pay off and Ryu becomes nails down the stretch and in October.

*Crosses Fingers*

Kershaw tonight with a chance to put us up 1.5 in the West.

Brandon Morrow out for the season.

Our Front Office looks smart again.

Man, Buehler has been dealing! Not just tonight but the past few outings from what I've seen. Dude is arguably our best pitcher and it feels wrong to qualify that with "arguably".

Magic number is 8.

Proud of young Walker and the pitcher he is becoming.
Full of confidence.

So far, excellent draft pick by the new group.

Not bad eh? 1st pick as a group, knocked it out of the park. Looked at that draft again. Only person I'd consider over Walker at this point is Alex Bregman who went 22 slots ahead of him. I said consider. I didn't say I'd actually take him.

And he has been a breath of fresh air lately....including but not limited to him wrecking the city of St. Louis last week.

Glad we didn't trade him.

I have no respect for the Diamondbacks laying down at home to the Rockies.

Guaranteed they're gonna do EVERYTHING to beat us starting tomorrow.

We still control our own destiny so...no excuses.
But I just don't respect it.

Btw, the Rockies end with 7 at home and we close with 6 on the road.
THey have 4 with Philly and 3 with Washington. Neither have anything to play for. We have the Dirt Bags and Midgets who will be looking to spoil our season.

This week can be a potential land mine. We must treat every game seriously.
We have to hit these teams in the mouth.

Dammit.

And we are also ONE game behind Atlanta. We trounced them in the season series. But that could be the difference in home field in the 1st round.

We are not currently IN for the wild card.
THis last week is important AF. We may have to win every game just to play October baseball.

Tied in the loss column with Rockies.
Magic number is 5. We only have 4 games left.

Not surprised we winked first.

The Rockies can easily win out the rest of their schedule. I cannot see why the Phillies or Nationals would put up a fight against them.

Yeah.

Good think Milwaukee whooped the Cards up.

We still have a chance via the Wild Card.

This team just can't put it all together... Just when they look like they're rolling, either the offense or the pitching let us down...

It's been a tough season to get engaged... Every time I start getting optimistic, we seem to drop a couple winnable ones.

So yeah, even if we were to get in via wild card, it's tough to see us getting very far right now.

Last night's win and St. Louis's loss means AT MINIMUM we play one more game past Sunday.

A win tonight or an StL loss = wild card for us.

I am still hoping the Nationals get us one game and we sweep SF as we have what's left of Kershaw which is pretty good and Buehler going today and tomorrow. The Nats have Strassy and Scherzer going today and tomorrow.

The Braves are only one game ahead of us. Not only is the division still in play but so is a Game 1 at Dodger Stadium.

Cardinals win.
All we have to do is do our job and we, at minimum, play Tuesday.

Offense: Here’s a 2-0 lead, Peyton.

Peyton: **** your 2-0 lead.

Walker Buehler should start any WC 1 game elimination we may have. It’s a risk but the devil I don’t know is much better than the same choking devil we’ve had the last 5 postseasons.

well, Walker gets the ball for not for the elimination game but for #163. frankly, I am okay with any one of the three Kershaw/Buehler/Ryu for elimination games. wish we had made that trade for Oh though. the Rockies became what they are now only after the trade with Toronto to secure the setup man job.

This is a big spot for Walker.

I’m nervous for him and super excited for him at the same time. He is our next hope at having a clutch October performer. Oddly enough, I kinda trust Ryu this postseason too.

Come on Walker!!!
Win and the next time we see him will be Game 3 in Atlanta...fine by me. I typically want my young pitcher’s first playoff start to be at home but....163 is a playoff game as far as I’m concerned and I have no fear of going to Atlanta anyway.

In fact. I have no real fear of any NL team. Out of them all, I fear Milwaukee the most. Deep lineup. Good pen. But...Now that we are in, this team can beat any NL team and as fans we should demand another pennant at minimum.

Well Kenley made it interesting but we did it... Phew...

Props to Walker... Excellent outing for him. Nice to see CB get his bat going heading into the post season... And Muncy doing Muncy things...
We have Colorado's number.

young Walker was lights out.

like I said before, I like our trio of Kershaw-Walker-Ryu rotation. the question is going to be that #4 spot when needed.
