please focus SPECIFICALLY on Hanley.

saying defense generally kind of lets him off the hook.
**** HIM.

im srs. He has to make this up to me. He wasn't going to be touched tonight. All he had to do was make that play.

I just don't see him coming back after this season with Erisbel and Alex on the roster now.

maybe we will witness a modern day dodger pitcher to throw a perfect game next season when Joc and Erisbel are playing everyday up-the-middle defense.

I think I alluded to it earlier.

but Ive said Kenley hasn't been right all year. Hasn't really had clean outings IMO.
WHIP is higher than its ever been in his career.

that loss kind of hurt just because i sat here n watched the whole game on a Friday night.

and Ned, why do you keep saying Greinke will opt out after this season?

his opt out is after 3 years...which means the end of next year.

should have been a sweep.

Kenley bounce back well from the debacle in the 1st game. Apparently we were upset with the umpire that game though.

onto Kansas City.

oh, for some reason i was under the impression that his opt out was after the first two years. i just checked it online and you are right, it is after 3 seasons.

BTW, i just checked the stats since i missed the entire weekend worth of games camping with my family on the beach, and pleasantly surprised to find now Ryu is tied with Greinke for the most wins for the dodgers at 9, and both are only 1 game away from the league leading position?

I know wins for a pitcher isn't exactly a good barometer of their true pitching abilities, but still very encouraged to see that despite all the things that have gone wrong in this season, our starting pitching staff have been rock solid from all 5.

looks like Josh Beckett is officially back.

I always did want to wait him out and see what he has since he is playoff clutch.
great outfield assist from Kemp and great to see us gut out a win like this.

Giants lose so we're 2 back.

btw....I think we're a much better team when we have a good defensive SS out there.....but i remember last year's long stretch without Hanley....so I'm not ready to jump the gun just yet.

1 game out of first.

we're actually 2 out considering the Giants slapped us around earlier this year 7 times out of 10.
but looks like we're going to catch them before the all star break....and our pitching looks like it's here an settle. I expect consistency from here on out outside of the occasional hiccup....an for us to win this division going away.

i dont want to speak too soon because the Giant thrive off of doubt and being underdogs....but I'm currently pleased and a little anxious.

3 weeks ago the Dodgers were 9.5 out. MLB Network pundits warning us to get our act together or we'd get left behind. Today we sit alone atop the NL West.

What a great June it has been.

With that said. It's not even the All Star Break yet. I want a September/October streak.

dodgers back on top, and Arruebarruena looks like the best defensive shortstop ever to play the game since 1875

glad ur back in the thread FINALLY.

our SS dynamic makes me wish our team was in the AL so Hanley could DH and EA play SS

... I think Hanley's days are numbered in NL. although i am enjoying this ride Beckett is on, I don't think we should bring him back either.

conssidering the come back in game 3 of this series, we should have swept.

but oh well. we live CO up a half game.
Giants look like they found their offense in San Diego with Belt back.

could be a photo finish.
