What a win!

And I think that outs Eovaldi on the shelf until/if we get back to Boston.

How in the blue **** is this annoying team still alive and well in the World Series?
Unbelievable.

Soooooo.....

Nathan Eovaldi in FA?
Price tag went up but there's 2 zippers on his elbow that should keep his price tag from getting too high.
October numbers this year are crazy....against NYY, HOU, and us.

22.1 IP
1.61 ERA
16 Ks
3 BB
.806 WHIP
1 HR given up.....to Muncy after a marathon of a game

We drafted him. He should come home.

Great win... But after the 12th I was so pissed off at this team I could barely stand it...
We’re a team full of decent sluggers but no real hitters. Why can’t we simply put the ball in play?

Props to Dave for an extremely well managed game, and props to WB for an all-mlb pitching performance.

Yes... Praying momentum and poor Management by Bos last night carries us through today!

Dozier is the better option over Loggy. even if it comes down to 1 PH.

I’ll trust Logan’s .297/.435, 5 hits, and 3 RBI in the WS last year over Dozier’s overrated bat and the twitter mob. As we can see, Loggy eventually got his **** together in Minnesota.....at best this was a lateral move.

Dave Roberts is lame to me.

1. Put Scott Alexander on the WS roster.
2. Goes to him in a big situation like he’s a big reliever for us.
3. When he **** up, puts Madsen in a situation where he failed before twice this postseason.

4. He’s getting ready to go back to the 6 out save well that burned us against Houston and didn’t work last night.

Freaking Dave Roberts is a moron!!!

Left hill out too long

Then puts in “Jansen the lame” to blow the game

You were ahead of this to start the postseason.

We got by ATL and Milwaukee without issue but it seems any WS win will come with less input from him..

Dave is still an idiot for trotting him out there like he’s the same unhittable guy we’ve always known....and for 6 out saves.

Game is too close to put in a Catcher with a passed ball problem.

Runner at 2nd.

Passed ball here would be huge.

I cannot listen to these Boston Nuthuggers anymore... Is it too freaking hard to find objective play by play guys, or no?!

It seems pretty obvious to me who our reliable pitchers are... Why do we keep relying on our least reliable in critical situations?

I have a feeling this may be Dave Roberts' last run. At least, it should be...

Time to go hunting for real pitching, and maybe clear house of our pitching scouts and pitching analytics guys... Because I think there's a real good chance they're all idiots.

We are too loyal to the guys that got us there and numbers. We do not scout/analyze for October.

This is how you end up with a Scott Alexander on your WS roster. A guy you like to get lefties on a Tuesday night in Cincinnati but one where nobody in the room tonight was on board (except Dave) with it even with the matchup.

We’re loyal to Jansen. He’s been our closer for years. He can still get outs blah blah blah. Dave just up n throws him in any situation.

Loyal to Madson...for what? He had a couple good outtings in Milwaukee. He can’t hold runners.

I’m sick of the loyalty and the weak minded October players.

**** loyalty.
Bring Los Angeles a ring.

We dont need another pennant.
We need a ring.

I go back to the decision to let Morrow go... This is why you don't do that.

Jansen is probably done as a closer... I don't like that he constantly shakes off signs... Like in his head, he's still the guy he was a couple years ago... Maybe if he can figure out what he no longer has and can make some changes, he can get back to being a reliable closer, but right now, mentally and physically, he just doesn't seem to be there.

Urias has looked good in spurts along with Baez, but neither is lights-out enough to rely on in a must-win WS game... Wood is a fine regular season starter, I think he needs a few innings to settle in... But he's not who you want to give the ball to with the game close in the late innings...

Outside of Bueler and maybe (big maybe at this point) Kershaw, our pitching isn't good enough to win a World Series... Might add Urias and Baez in there too... But only if they're backed by an elite closer.

Our bats could probably get it done, but we need more situational hitters, and fewer long ball hunters... Guys that can find gaps (and bunt for f-sake)...

It's an accomplishment that we've even been this pesky in this series... The Astros would have swept us... Their bats would have destroyed our pitching.

Agreed. My caveat was if you aren't going to sign Morrow, go after Wade Davis.

Give us co-closers.
Preempt Dave's tendency to do this 6 out save garbage by having another bullpen ace he can trust.

If we had Wade or Morrow (I know Morrow isn't healthy this year), I think Dave gives them the 8th inning.
