Maybin had a slightly better BA over Gattis against LHP this season, but Gattis was 100 point-ish higher on OPS. that was the right call. Maybin was gonna get a weak grounder or a flyball. Cameron is not a HR hitter, Gattis is.

plate discipline, pitch recognition and pitch selection is what the C boys need to work on all off season.
