I want to win a first-round series. I want to win a second-round series. I want to win the ECF and then a Championship. If any of those things means JBB gets another season, I don't really care, and honestly, if we somehow get out of the second round, JBB probably deserves to come back.

I'd rather not play the Knicks in the first round though. The only shot we have is building some confidence throughout the playoffs.

Same. No Knicks for me, please.

Would be cool to win it all. Even a 2021 Hawks type run may provide lots of clarity.

Idk though, it goes back to me not trusting jb.

No better way to build confidence than to face your most haunting opponent from last year. (Even if half the roster is different.)

Yeah, I'm good playing the Knicks after the first round or not at all. I watched that Knicks v. Celtics last night, and although the Celtics weren't playing at full tilt, the Knicks looked even better than last year.

It doesn't really matter who we face unless we rapidly get healthier and start getting our act together.

Donovan is looking better, but his knee could start acting up again even if JBB doesn't overplay him. If DG was trying to avoid physical contact so he makes it to the playoffs in one piece, well, we should see him playing very differently soon.

Yeah, i think them playing without Randle actually opens things up.

Idk of Robinson is back to full strength but Hartenstien seems to do fine as the starter.

I guess the only scenario where i would be okay with drawing the Knicks is if it was the difference between the 6 seed and the play-in.

The Hornets are going make us work for an L tomorrow. Might have to hope that Thibs can't help himself and the Knicks actually want the 2nd seed.

Hawks fan, come in peace:

Curious as to what you all think of Evan Mobley at this point in his career? Do you see him as a franchise max level player you can win a title with? Do you see him as All Star and a #2 or #3 option on a contending team? Has he progressed on both ends of the court the way you thought he would so far in his career?

My bias: I like Mobley and his game an awful lot. I have Mark Price and Larry Nance jerseys hanging in my jersey closet and added a Mobley one as well. If that tells you how I think about his game and how much I love it.

He's 22 so time will tell.

I think Allen and Mitchell have stunted his growth quite a bit. We'll see if the Cavs ownership and front office are ready to free him or not. That elimination game he looked very aggressive in.

He's much better with room to operate. He needs 4 shooters around him, like Dwight did back in the day.

Mobley has been amazing on defense from the get go, but is only starting to show what he might become on offense. He still needs to get stronger and refine his moves and continue to build confidence in his shooting. It may very well all come together for him at some point and he's got a number of positive attributes but he's not super athletic and will likely never dominate physically. He also doesn't seem driven to be great even if he was capable of it.

He may very well earn himself a max extension, but that might be his last max contract.

I do think he's going to be a very valuable player you can count on helping your team to win games almost regardless of how he develops.
