Exactly. We all know Kobe would try to 1 up LeBron just like every other time and fail. Kobe trying to outperform LeBron leads to Cavaliers victory every time.

LOL ain't that the truth.

The last game in LA was a truly classic example. Phil Jackson even took him out of the game

Actually Bulls fans are pissed because Chicago could have beaten LA's deal.

They have 6 expiring deals. Obviously the Bulls did not wish to trade Deng and Gordon (2 of the expirings).

Bulls could have signed & traded PJ Brown to make a deal work.

The Bulls refused to do so because the owner refuses to pay Lux tax.

This is despite the fact that the Bulls have been the most profitable team in the last 2 decades. last year their profit according to Forbes was an astronomical $55 million with the second place team (Detroit) more than $20 million behind them & no other team over $10 million.

So for the Bulls to get so cheap when they are rolling in dough - well, this is what ticks off Bulls fans.

Gasol wouldnt make too much difference to Bulls. We are losing fine without him. We would have continued to lose with him.

It's the cheapness of the management in refusing to pay Lux Tax that outrages most of the Bulls fans.

I'm not upset - i know how management is. So i expect this course of action.

Why do the Bulls refuse to let go of Gordon ??

He's a fine scorer and all, but he doesn't bring a ton to the table on either end besides just shooting...

We dont know.

Look - Paxson has NEVER traded a draft selection of his. All 9 are still on the team : Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, Duhon, Thomas, Sefolosha, Noah, Gray Curry

He has not traded any of his free agent signings: Nocioni, wallace, Griffin, Smith

Paxson just seems too attached to his players - which is Ok if your team is winning

Last Bulls trade was with Cleveland in 2006: Eddie Basden for Martynas A.

Paxson just doesnt like to pull the trigger on trades. I cant explain it

I think this trade really goes to show how low of an opinion the rest of the league has of our trade assets. Regardless of how you view Pau Gasol, the guy is a very good power forward, and Memphis willingly took 30 cents on the dollar for him.

The real problem was that Memphis wanted to maximize the amount of expirings that they had and the only ones we had (Newble & Brown) were not as much as LAL had to offer.
