Not too surprising, as he's the best playmaker at his position, a great defender, and overall the best player in the game. If you play beside LeBron you'll always be in the spotlight, you're gonna win a lot of games, AND you're likely to look good. For example:
- Everyone thought Mo Williams was not a winner and was too much of a defensive liability pre-LeBron, with LeBron he's suddenly an all-star and a winner
- Nobody cared about Delonte West before he joined the Cavs, now everyone thinks of him as a clutch shooter and a great perimiter defender
- Varejao has few skills offensively, but is well regarded because he plays with LeBron. Think anybody would care about him at all if he spent his career on the Bucks?
- Ben Wallace had garnered a terrible reputation over the couple years before being traded to the Cavs, now people realize that he's still a solid defender and great rebounder
- Even Daniel Gibson had has time in the limelight with LeBron
Still, would have thought that guys like Tim Duncan and Chris Paul would have fared a little better, these are guys who can certainly make you look way better than you actually are.
