This is the first time I can remember since 1982 that the Brewers are playing like a real team.

The teams in 1987, 88, 92 all were streak teams. At times great, at times terrible. You never got the sense that they had all the pieces.

This team is like 1982.....they just keep winning every series like clockwork....no huge highs or lows......it's amazing and great to see. If they can avoid injuries, this could be our first division winner in 25-years......I'm starting to think about boarding the bandwagon again....

And at least for one day, when it is more than one month into the season, the Brewers have the

BEST RECORD IN THE WHOLE LEAGUE.

All by themselves too

Hopefully when Mench, Jenks and Hardy start to cool off Prince, Rickie and Billy will start to really crank it up. That's what is truley amazing. The team is winning but they are really not playing up to their full potential.

That's the great part of having good pitching. When you have a good rotation,it's alot harder to go into long losing spells.

Having the bullpen be so lights-out has been the biggest story to me. The numbers don't really show it (we're about mid-pack in ERA overall and for relievers) but that's mainly because our cruddy relievers have been, well, cruddy. But if we're winning the Wise-Turnboss-Cordero combo has been fantastic. We're not wasting good starts anymore, and we're getting a lot of those too.

I agree on the offense--doesn't seem like we're firing on all cylinders, but Hardy/Jenks/Mench have been great, so you hope the Prince and Rickie turn it on too, because Jenkins/Mench won't keep this up.

First month team MVP - Hardy
First month team Cy - Cordero (over Soup)

I would think Capuano would be ahead of Suppan thusfar. Hasn't lost yet. Turnbow should also be up there, but isn't it nice to have the problem of picking?

I disagree. Suppan has the better ERA and has showed great composure pitching himself out of tight situations.
