How many bites of the apple do we take before we realize that it’s rotten?

The signs were there all year about the lack of offensive firepower, and when the pitching hiccups this is what happens.

I expect a much different looking roster come March.

Predictable and pathetic. We're kinda like the Vikings of the MLB and it makes me sad.

While Counsell probably mismanaged this series, all the credit to him for the team's success this season and in the past. This team routinely outplays its talent. The D'backs were simply the better team. I'd likely take Walker, Marte, and Carroll over anyone else in the Brewers lineup. Top to bottom, that lineup is probably twice as good as the Brewers ... and it showed in this series.

This is what people here want though. To consistently make the playoffs, but never trade for firepower at the deadline to make a deep run.

I got to listen to Uecker in the first 2 innings and bottom of 8th last night. Still always good to hear him call a game and was really hoping to hear a go ahead grand slam call in that 8th. His voice still sounds good even though you kind of are hanging on balls in play sometimes. That sign-off for some reason felt ominous to me though…
