Wiemer and Mitchell are almost the same player IMO. I'd give the edge to Wiemer.

Mitchell has struck out 40% of the time as a major leaguer. I really like him going forward but I think there is a bit over an overvalue from fans right now because of that fluky .278 batting average. That's going to plummet and is not something I want to have on my roster in the playoffs.

Both guys strike out a ton, play great defense, have some pop and speed. Flip a coin but they must like Wiemer a bit more.

They want Wiemer against LHP relievers, simple as that IMO. That's enough to pass Mitchell. Mitchell didn't have a very strong case to begin with.

Winker and Miller both beat out Tellez, which is somehow surprising and unsurprising at the same time, in the sense that they both stunk this year and yet somehow Tellez was even worse - unless he has an injury that I'm not aware of?

I think a lot of fans saw a .311 batting average from Mitchell in his rookie season and .278 overall average and watched Wiemer struggle (as expected) down the stretch and think Mitchell is a future star.

Mitchell is a .200 hitter unless he makes some adjustments. Maybe a bit higher with the speed to maintain a higher BABIP.

So make a decision based on matchups or style (way too many Ks from Mitchell) and yeah, you get Wiemer.

It's such a tough lineup/roster to guess with. I'm guessing Canha at DH.

Otherwise they probably have data on who is best against whatever pitch Pfaadt features and how they want to set up for the late game bullpen stuff. Pfaadt seems neutral in RH/LH splits in his early career. I'll guess Donaldson at 3B, Turang at 2B, Frelick RF...Taylor CF? I dunno there.

If Miley starts, probably against Gallen - they have a lot of good defensive players but they will probably throw the best defensive lineup out there since Miley thrives as a groundball guy with good defense behind him. Just pray you can get to the 7th inning at 0-0 or 1-0 or whatever.

Just gonna pray that the bats can get hot for 2-3 weeks and see what happens. Still think we should beat Arizona and it's a failure of a season if we don't, but I'm of no illusion that we stand a chance against LA without Woody in the lineup. Just sucks, man.

Canha is DH. Donaldson is 3B. Frelick in CF and Taylor is RF.

Absolutely. Guessing the roof will be open which from a fan perspective is great, imo. Tomorrow it may be too if rain holds off. Really want to go too but just isn’t in the cards this week.

Somehow a good and terrible half inning at the same time. Very on brand for this Brewers offense.
