A healthy Christian Yelich is a thing of beauty at the plate.

Bases juiced, 1 out and nothing to show for it. The more things change...

Hoskins is a such a double play machine. Is that his 3rd bases loaded GIDP already?

Yep - silver lining is he is hitting them hard, and not just a lollipop grounder. eventually, those will find spaces between fielders.

I could regret this statement within the hour, but Joe Ross is touching 95 and I believe had more velo on his slider/sinker (I think this is why they went after him) - could be an absolute steal while he's healthy.

was just coming here to say this.... i havent been able to watch most of the games, but have seen 3 separate bases loaded situations with hoskins grounding into a double play. hes gonna break a record if he keeps this up!

I see velocity is dropping as game goes on. I’d be tempted to pull him sooner than later. Just seems like Twins are on the verge of tagging him. He does look good though overall so far.

Definitely...I think the one issue is that the bullpen is already a bit thin with the Megill injury and heavy usage yesterday. I'm sure they can navigate it, but would be nice if he could get close to 5 IP, though he's not a guy I even expect that from a ton.

He started strong but he's struggling with his command now.

Not an awful outing by Ross but yeah be nice to get 5 from some guys consistently. Bullpen, even if deep, is going to be spent especially with some injuries.

The reason I was bullish about this team was that they don't even need 5 IP from guys...

But with Miley, Megill, Gasser, Williams all hurt, the depth of bullpen/being able to use Junis out of the bullpen, etc. is not going to be good enough to withstand this.
