Brewers/Phillies Thread

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Sep 5, 2021 11:49 pm

Monday - 1:10 - Woodruff vs. Wheeler
Tuesday - 6:40 - Lauer vs. Nola
Wednesday - 6:40 - Peralta vs. Gibson
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

With 3 off days in the next 11 it looks like Anderson goes to the pen and we have a 5 man rotation.

lol, I wish I would've taken a screen shot of what got me this ban so you could all lol.

Basically went down like this.

Guy says Woodruff has been okay since the all-star break despite this game and he's worried about Peralta, probably because of the shoulder injury, because, well, duh, you should be worried about a shoulder injury and says our playoff hopes rested on them being aces but maybe we'll be fine with them just being good.

Guy jumps down his throat basically saying to enjoy the ride instead of bitching about every little thing.

I correctly point out that it gets annoying with posters constantly jumping down the throats of everyone who has the tiniest negative comment and that they could just ignore it.

PeaveyFury comes in and comes up with like 3 different posts that he edited including "irony much?" "pot, kettle?" and some other post similar to that that I don't remember.

I come back and say not really because I'm not saying he can't post it it's just annoying and bizarre how a bunch of posters just immediately jump on anyone with a perceived negative comment and how the poster who was jumped on didn't even say anything that negative to deserve a response like that.

PeaveyFury comes back and only quotes the "Not really" part of my post and says well you're basically saying he can't post that and doing the exact same thing you said he shouldn't be doing and just ignoring things that bother you.

So I took the ignoring things that are bothering you part and replied "Unfortunately, I can't ignore mods. 8-)

I haven't been on that board in many years. I received a warning for "excessive punctuation" for using !!! at the end of a sentence. Seriously.

I know I give you guys a lot of **** but I'm glad you're relaxed. You can't say a god damn thing on that board without the wrath of either the mods or a bunch of pussies who whine about everything that the mods always side with.

Would JBJ be a good hitter if he got to face Daniel Norris or would Daniel Norris be a good pitcher if he got to face JBJ. These are the questions I ask myself.

I check in on the BF board a couple times a week, but only for the prospect links. I hate their Minors board and how they have the threads setup. Just checked and I registered in 2004, and have only 104 posts. LOL.

That board is exhausting and entirely unenjoyable but it's been that way forever and twirly has been poking at them with a stick for almost as long.

Just because it's Labor Day doesn't mean I can't get some work in.

I registered in early 2004 too, used to post a lot during the Prince-Hardy-Weeks-Braun-Yovani-Hart-Counsell era.
