Brewers/Nationals Series

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Wed May 18, 2022 10:49 pm

Friday - 7:10 - Lauer vs. Fedde
Saturday - 6:10 - Woodruff vs. Corbin
Sunday - 1:10 - Peralta vs. Sanchez
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Very rare. Not sure I've watched one live before.

Nice to pick up some insurance runs.

So maybe they don't suck at hitting? Would be a very fortunate turn of events if it holds.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I think we gotta hope that they only kinda suck at hitting and the pitching is good enough to make up for it.

Pitching is the best in the majors. Hitting below league average. They need a few more bats. I’m confident Stearns can find a few.

Um... they're top 5 in homers, RBI, 6th in OPS in all of baseball. I think hitting across baseball is below average. I do think they don't have the bats to compete in the playoffs. they do need 1 or 4 bats.

It’s early. And they’ve played the Reds a lot. But I think we are dating the same thing. The offense is not sustainable to win a WS.

I'm at that point now for the Brewers where regular season doesn't matter. The division is a cake walk. This team will only be judged on post season. They need to at least make an NLCS. Outside of catastrophic injuries they should win 90-100 games .

25 of our 40 games have been against the worst teams in the league.

Regular seasons mean nothing for our three major professional sports teams. Have to remind ourselves to appreciate every minute. We're spoiled. That said, watching a Brosseau/Peterson tandem attempt to "man" the left side of the infield, on top of watching a lineup without Adames, Urias, and Hiura attempt to hit the ball, wasn't exactly fun yesterday. Especially when you pay for good seats. Was the equivalent to a Giannis DNP-Load Management Bucks game.
