You can piece things together for a bit but it's just tough for me to expect to be able to get through an entire season like that.

Going the retread route with the starting rotation was certainly a decision. I hope they all pitch way beyond their previous performances, but I'm much more excited to see what Gasser, Miz, Rodriguez and Ashby can do, even if they initially suck.

Mitchell really needs to stay mostly healthy this season. A lot of talk about what he is or isn't as a player but its moot if he cant stay on the field. Potentially not off to a great start there.

Damn it, I bet Mitchell starts out on the 10 day. Really want to see him play a whole season and not be dinged up all the time.

In 2018, their "aces" were Jhoulys Chacin and Wade Miley (before his career renaissance), who combined for roughly 3 WAR the entire season. They also were basically the entire playoff rotation, although Woodruff pitched nearly as many innings as a starter would against the Dodgers and Gio Gonzalez was used as an "opener" in two of those games.

This offense probably won't hold a candle to the 2018 team's offense, but the defense could be incredible, and the staff at least has one strong 3-4 WAR candidate in Peralta. I don't really expect a good year, but I won't be shocked if they win 85+ anyway.

Mitchell's going to the IR with a hand fracture. God this sucks.

That dude might be cursed or something. He can't stay healthy long enough for anyone to figure out if he's good or not.

I wanted Haase to make the team, but not at the expense of Mitchell. Mitchell was having a great camp too.

Wild how many games Mitchell has missed so far in his young career. Hopefully can heal the hand and contribute in a month or so.

Great news about BA, even if it’s only a handful of games. Just too bad it’s still Ballys…

Yeah, I was ready to be even more frustrated with Ballys over the Brewers than I have been with the Bucks - just because games are on every day. But it looks like they resolved in a good spot - 155 of the games will be on BSWI. So hopefully they get everything with this **** network figured out by next season.

I believe Rock is going the Uecker route and only doing home games. Maybe he did that last year, I don't remember.

Vinny does a good job.

I wonder how much longer the Brewers deal is with Bally's. I believe the Bucks are done with them after this season.

This is important to find out. Ballys offers a year-long package that would give you all the Brewers season and most of the Bucks (all of it if you wait a couple more weeks to order) for an amount that saves a good amount of money. Obviously if the Bucks aren't a part of Ballys that turns the deal bad.

From the Milwaukee Business Journal

In February 2021, the Brewers and Sinclair announced a new contract that gave the Brewers a minority share in the network. The deal is reportedly worth around $34 million per year for four years.

That would mean the deal expires after the upcoming season. I'm pretty sure the Bucks deal expires after the current season.

No idea how the proposed Amazon deal fits in.

The previous deal gave the Brewers $20 million a year. The Dodgers get over $300 million PER YEAR

I assume with that roster above that Miley is starting on the DL? I was actually fairly optimistic into canp but leaving spring kinda worried it may be a long year.

The season hasn't even started and we already cannot catch a break with injuries.

Yes against righties. I'd imagine he'll sit vs lefties.
