So are the Twins going to get this extension done with Mauer? I read Mauer won't discuss an extension once training camp starts. That is just around the corner. Anyone heard anything about them getting close to a deal?

I'm pretty sure if they don't sign Mauer to an extension half the fan base would boycott the Twins.

Mauer hasn't set a date that he would stop negotiating.

I guess deadline or not, it would be nice for them to get a deal done before training camp/the season starts. I think Mauer will end up staying, but at least for me I would feel a lot better with that extension signed.
