Tex gets a free pass mostly because his glove is the difference maker in crucial late innings.

I don't buy this crap that AJ Burnett would have pitched any better after 4 days of rest. He's either on or he's off. Simple as that. Last night, he **** the bed. What pissed me off most, that beachball of a breaking pitch that Utley slugged for a 3 run homer.

The bottom line is this Yankee roster as powerful as they are, very few have World Series experience.

Still, every one keep the hope alive. On the Yanks WORST pitching outing all postseason they still came very, VERY close to breaking the Phillies. I like our chances in the next two games.

One thing we are all forgetting is our lineup will be amazing. Melky is hurt, but Matsui and Posada will both be in there.

I just want this series to end. I live in Delaware where 90% of the people are Philly fans and going to work and hearing them talk trash is annoying!

You would think they were up 3-2 instead of us. But we need to win tomorrow, we can't let this get to game 7...we can't...

just listening to colin cowherd, he thinks the yanks are in great position. The phillies have no more arms and cole hamels is fighting with his teamates.. LOL.. we have petitte and cc in game 6 and 7 if necessary.. we are right where we want to be..

Last night the phillies got every hit they needed and if not for jeter bouncing into a DP, we probably rally and close this out.

I think pedro gets shelled, pettite goes 6 or 7 and rivera ends the series....

You pitch burnett in game 5, simply because he is better than gaudin, and you want pettite and cc for game 6 and 7..

Also Phillies didn't bring in lidge last night. Their best is Chan Ho Park.

Andy keeps it close for 5 innings, Mo for 2, Joba 1, and split 1 inning: Hughes, Marte, Robertson.

If Pettite can give 5-6 innings and keep us in the game i'll be completely fine with it. Because I'll trust our bullpen for the remaining 3-4 innings of the game then the Phillies pen.

He is great on defense, but he got that contract to also hit. Tex needs to step it up.
I think he's getting a free pass because the Yankees are in the W.S and up 3-2, if we were down in the series or if we lose with Tex still slumping, I guarantee you he'll be criticized. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

Put it this way, the teams in the past needed A-Rod to play as he is this post-season because the teams from '04-'08 weren't as good as this years team. This years team doesn't NEED Tex to play like he's capable of (of course it wouldn't hurt), they can still win with him underachieving. If the Yankees lost against the Angels or end up losing this series, you can bet Tex would/will be hearing a lot about his performance.

Winning cures everything, if they win this WS then Tiexera's performance won't be magnified because they still would have won.
