Yea it hurts to see sheffs hot bat in the detroit lineup instead of the yankees'. I hope humberto comes back and can give us something in the future. With his injury history im suprised we got him in the first place. Im sure there were prospects out there with out the injury history.

Nova through 4 innings - 4 hits, 1 BB, 2 ER, 2 Ks

I'll take it for his first start in his professional career, not sure if he will pitch the 5th because I'm not sure of his pitch count.

Just got out of Extended Spring Training and is now in Low A Charleston. What has people so excited about him is that he has a power fastball to go along with his good offspeed stuff, with great command to boot. Think Clippard with a better fastball... that's why people are excited. He's 20 too, young as hell.

I'm very impressed Ashvielle is the top hitting team in the South Atlantic division for Nova to go 4 IP and allow 2 ER in his debut too, this kid has some nasty stuff 1 BB/ 2 K in 4 IP. Keep going Nova

Joba Chamberlain was named the Florida State League Pitcher of the Week after only his first two minor league games.

1-0, 0.00 ERA, 9 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 4 BB, 11 SO.
JOBA TOUCHED 100 MPH SEVERAL TIMES IN HIS 2 STARTS

On Tuesday, with Yankees pitching prospects Phil Hughes, Jeff Karstens, Joba Chamberlain, Christian Garcia and Jose Veras looking on, LaSala caught Clemens for a bullpen session that lasted close to an hour.

Following the 71-pitch session, Clemens discussed mechanics with the pitchers in attendance. Then he took ground balls and practiced throwing to different bases with LaSala acting as the infielder.

* SPECIAL NOTE * Friday's Tampa Class A start for Clemens will be televised on ESPN so we get to see in live prospects like Tabata, Cervelli,Anthony Claggett, Zach Kroenke and Tim Battle.

Action Jackson was 2 for 5 tonight ,

Fransico Cervelli had a 5 RBI night w/ a HR

Shelly Duncan continues to hit he was 1 for 2 raising his average to .348

Mitch Hilligoss is doing things quietly the 21 year old SS was 2 for 4 he is now hitting .324 (22 game hit streak)

Chris Britton 2.0 IP, 1 BB, 3K

Anthony Claggett 2.1 IP, 1H, 2K

David Robertson 2.0IP, 3H, 1 BB, 2K, 0.39 ERA 0.90 WHIP

Betances finally made his debut it wasn't a good one 1 IP and was taken deep so much talent, so raw, they say he'll get much better, so take today's start w/ a grain of salt.

got the update 1 IP, 2H, 2R, 2ER, 1K, hell be back 8)

I was going to post the minor league updates from today, but it looks like you did anyways.

No way they promote Kennedy to AAA. I bet he'll be in AA Trenton sooner or later.

I'm a big fan of Hilligross, just wish he played another position so we can have something to look forward to.

NYK, ur boy Almonte tripled today. Montero had a hit, Cuello went 2 for 2, and Pirela went 2 for 4. I cannot wait for short season ball to begin.

Pinstripes Plus is speculating that Jesus Montero might skip the GCL all together and go straight to Short Season Staten Island.
