Toronto MapleJays (0-0) @ New York (0-0): Opening Day!!!

Post#1 » by Dr. Detfink » Fri Apr 3, 2015 4:55 pm

I liked listening to Pedro Martinez trolling Tanaka then pimping Pineda as an ace. Is that before or after Pineda got caught cheating, went on the DL (again)...came back, wasn't bad but didn't show the same control.

Either way, the Yankees NEED both Tanaka and Pineda to be big in order to compete in the crowded East. 1-3 can hit the DL any time. It's vital the Yanks get off to a fast start.

Game 1: Tanaka (0-0) v. Hutchison (0-0)

Game 2: Pineda (0-0) v. Dickey (0-0)

Game 3: Sabathia (0-0) v. Norris (0-0)

I don't except much this yr, but thankfully the al east is weak. Maybe we could get a wild card, or win the division. For us to win the division we have to stay healthy.

I kind of laughed at the ESPN article that the Yanks improved at SS more than any other team but neglected to mention, the aging group at 3B, 1B, 2B, and C. Pretty much Brian Cashman is plugging in holes hoping it all holds together.

What's disturbing is the Yanks lack of interest when it comes to signing big international talent that can not only re-invigorate this franchise but also lower its payroll.

There won't be too much to talk about with the Yankees until the contracts of CC, A-Rod, Tex come off the books.

Hopefully by then, Tanaka's arm is in better health...and Pineda is still around to be the 1-2 punch they were meant to be.

Tanaka is throwing scared. He's useless like this, he should have had the surgery already because without it he's turning into an overpaid junkballer.

This is one bad team.

Same ol offense, can't hit a bunch of under achievers. They got helped tonight by a Toronto bullpen implode of just hitting batters If they don't start hitting it's just a repeat of the past few seasons. Who cares about pitching if you can't score runs :nonono:

Nice to see the first A-Bomb of the year! Gotta start winning games though.
