NY Yankees (57-44) @ Chicago White Sox (49-51): The Melk Man Cometh

Yanks were snakebit in Texas, coming out flat in the 3rd and bullpen collapsing in the 4th. Thus splitting the 4 game set in Texas. Suddenly the noose is tightening with Toronto breathing down the Yanks neck after adding an All-Star SS and a Cy Young winner.
GM Brian Cashman forewarned the Yankees will live and die with what they have. He's not kidding. No major moves at the trade deadline, despite both CC, Nova, and Pineda hurt. Just like that more than half the rotation went off the rails.
Weighed down by the contracts of Sabbathia, Alex Rodriguez, and Mark Teixiera in addition to Tanaka, McCann, and Ellsbury...can't see the Yankees bulking up anytime soon.
The White Sox are begging to be put out of their misery. Eovaldi is up and the Yanks need to dig harder and rebuild their lead.
