Yankees add an insurance run with an Aaron Judge 1-out bases loaded single. The bases were loaded with one out in the T8 of a 1-0 game after Headley hit another single, Gardner reached on an error, and El Gary walked.

wow, Yankees miss out on an opportunity. After Judge's single, the bases remained loaded in a 2-0 game but Holliday grounds into a DP, sending us to the B8. 2-0.

We'll go to the bottom of the 8th. Looks like the struggling Dellin Betances will come in over newcomer/former Yankee closer Robertson as the set-up man to Chapman.

Sevy goes 7 innings. 8 hits. 6 Ks 1 walk. 0 runs. 100 pitches 71 for strikes.

Betances falls behind 3-0. Gets 2 strikes, then beams Seager with the ball after getting Cruz to fly out.

Betances was wild, Sanchez made some nice blocks/digs. The HBP on Seager hit Seager's foot. Robertson got up and is warming.

He made the 1/2 inning exciting, but Betances gets out of it after a major break. runners stranded on 1st and 3rd to keep the score 2-0 as we head to the 9th after Betances K'd the #8 hitter, Dyson.

However, the second out came on a come backer to Betances. He should have let it go through and it would have been an easy double-play. He miss-fired to second base and pulled castro off the bag, who also bobbled the ball. Mariners challenged the force out but surprising lost.

Betances now with 5 strait outings without giving up a run but they haven't looked pretty.

Todd Frazier collects his first Yankee hit in the T9. With Didi on first, Frazier lines a single. 1 out. Runners on first and second.

Robbie Cano hands the Yankees a gift. A throwing error by him on a Headley ground plates Didi and Frazier.
