Karstens the stud...

Post#1 » by TKF » Thu Aug 7, 2008 12:03 am

OK. not a stud, but now Karstens goes out to the NL and outduels randy johnson in 8 near perfect innings.. LOL.. wow, like we didn't need that here..... Just our luck...

Can some one fill me in again on what type of prospect karstens was. I remember him briefly. was he the guy that gave up those three straight homers to Boston?

Chase Wright is the guy who gave up those homers.

As for Karstens, he was never anything near being a top prospect, his stuff is less than mediocore and he has barely average control and command to go with it. He would never be more than a #5 in the AL, and probably won't be more than a 4 or 5 in the NL.

I'm happy that he did well but he has similar stuff to Rasner but doesn't have as much control. -Jitpal

He wouldn't do any of that in the AL, trust.

Karstens is trash.

I don't care if he pitched a near perfect game.

He sucks.

Though, as you said TKF, it's just our luck that he's doing this...

Yeah, he's still trash. This is more of the NL totally sucking than Karstens actually being good, IMO.
