Why would the Yanks try and keep Chamberlain as a starter? It didn't work out so well. His stamina wasn't very good. He will need to start Spring Training as a starter and start about 5-10 games in the minors, effectively taking him out of the season for a month to three months if everything goes on track. Why would you force him to relieve, start, stop starting, and start starting again?

Yeah, but over 4-5 innings for most of the 12 starts.

But he sux in the postseason. Although, the contract was too much if he bombs. What's the status with Wang? Cuz if he gets back healthy and still has his stuff, and the yanks get one of sheets, burnett, or lowe. That's one great 1-2-3 punch.
Rotation
1. Sabathia
2. Burnett/Lowe/Sheets
3. Wang
4. Hughes
5. ?

I don't really pay attention to my sig and forget to delete it.

But anyway, Wang will be 100% healthy with no problems with his foot.

As for Joba, he went at least 6 FULL innings in 8 of 9 starts leading up to his injury, so you are way off base there. As a matter of fact, the only three starts that he didn't reach 6 innings were his first 2 (when he was still raising his pitch count) and the start he got injured during, so he lasted 6 innings in every single normal start he made. And he did it with an ERA of 2.00 in those 9 starts. So yeah, moving him from the rotation would be extremely foolish.

1. Sabathia
2. Joba
3. Wang
4. Burnett/Lowe/Sheets
5. Pettitte/Hughes
