GT: Giants @ Cubs

Heston vs. Hammel to lead things off. Giants have a half game lead over the Cubs for the second Wild Card spot.

It's actually Los Gigantes with the 0.5 game lead over the Cubbies after last night.

i am not that concerned by cubs, their staff is pitching way above their pay grade and they are bound to choke down the stretch.

Another loss...8-6. Was 8-3 until the Giants scored 3 in the 9th but of course, not enough. Cubs go for the sweep tomorrow with Jake Arrieta going up against Jake Peavy.

Sure would be nice to not be paying 20M to a dead armed pitcher. I hope we never give out a 7 year contract again

Bases loaded, no outs, and they couldn't at least tie the game? Pathetic. :banghead:

On the bright side the Pirates swept the Dodgers. Still only 3 games out.

Return to San Francisco Giants
