is Shields still an option?

With some of the struggles from our starters, has anyone heard anything regarding Shields?

He cleared waivers, so he could be had via trade. There is a rumor involving the Red Sox swapping Sandoval for Shields, but nothing more than a rumor.

I know he's been scrappy, but maybe a change of scenery would do him good.

At 20 mil per fro another 3-4 years? I'd rather not. IMO that's a poor usage of funding.
