No Felix or Pineda? Can't wait to see the attendance numbers for this series!

I don't know if I can bring myself to watch these three games. That's awful.

Speaking of Felix, he's looked awful this year. Almost as if he just doesn't give a ****. Not that I can truly blame as the offense doesn't give him much of a chance, but an unhappy Felix concerns me.

Yeah. Usually May is the month he struggles in, it's like April for Ichiro. I think his career May era floats right under 6.

I think he'll be okay. If scoring a combined 10 runs for Felix in 10 consecutive starts last summer didn't break his spirit, nothing will. If anything, that crazy Toronto comeback (saving Felix from a loss) should have perked him up. The pattern last year was to either score no runs for him, or score enough to get him a lead through 7 or 8 innings, then watch the bullpen crush his soul and throw out the 'W'.

He pitched a solid 3-4 innings the next outing against KC, then things went to hell. Maybe he needs a Boston or New York to shut down to turn it around.

Me too. He must know, like most of us, that he's going to have to insulate himself from Mariners suckiness for at least as long as it takes for some of our youngsters to become productive fixtures in the everyday lineup, and for us to make at least one big FA signing with a bat that actually pans-out.

Already the vultures are circling, insisting the trade market for Felix is heating up. It's frustrating because it's complete rubbish, but it's also not fun to read it online or listen to it. Felix is part of [if not the BIGGEST part of] this team's future.

Drayer mentioned Felix kind of being down since his three main friends [Beltre, Guti, Lopez] are either away or gone, and I hope he can get past that. Things aren't as bad as they were last year. I want to see Pineda and Felix own this pitching staff for the next few years.

The team has a good core...if it can find a way to move some pieces like Aardsma/Bedard/etc. for prospects, shed Figgins contract, and draft Rendon I'm pretty comfortable with how things looks next year.

What was once a 2-1 lead is now a 4-2 deficit thanks to a bad defensive play by Bradley, and Lueke doing terrible in relief. Here comes Chris Ray to make it all better...

The bullpen is problematic at the moment, but when Aardsma and Kelley get back it won't look so bad.

And Langerhans' recent defensive exploits in CF remind me how badly we need Guti out there. Langerhans has a nasty habit of letting doubles go over his head when there's men on base. Just terrible.

Maybe Cust can make things semi-interesting right here...

We won a home game in mid-April against the Tigers last year 11-3 after coming off a string of really pathetic offensive outings. Detroit, the cure for what ails us?

Last night actually reminded me of that 15-spot we dropped on San Diego last year. How'd we follow that up? A 2-1 loss. But don't look for history to repeat itself, Bedard is pitching. We'll probably lose 8-1.

We lost the last game but it was still competitive. Bedard HR% is high...if he can get that number to normalize he'll be a decent MOR starter.
