Seriously, how awesome is it knowing he's waiting in AAA? If we need the depth we can give him a call, or maybe trade him if another team sees the need. The Blue Jays middle infield was suspect and it doesn't look any better with Reyes back on the DL with hamstrings issues. They seem like a poor fit trade wise but it's just an example of what can happen during the season...some MLB team will need Nick this season.

I was listening to KJR this morning, and Mitch Levy did this hilarious segment of "AL leaders after 2 games". Oh God help me. I think the Seahawks filled me with this "why of course we're going to win. We're Seattle."

No, you're right. F*ck Boras and Morales. Let's trade Franklin and another member of our illustrious farm system for a prime time player.

It's fun. You never know if you're going to catch a wave in sports, and then see how far you can ride it.

Pfft...those losers only scored 5.7 runs per game. We've scored more than that EACH GAME. :)

BayAreaMadSkill wrote:And God do I love Cano. Non mariners fans just have no idea. I would give him that contract 100/100 times. It has been over a decade since we had a superstar talent in the middle of the order. It changes the dynamic of an offense so much and makes other guys more dangerous.

Hooray for prior failures. Seriously, of all the big name targets we've seen attached to the M's the past few years, how luck are we to not be stuck with some albatross of a player right now? Or two...if you're the Angels.

Do you feel a little bit bad for Kendrys right now? You know Boras sure as hell wasn't going to be on board with Kendrys or Stephen Drew or Ervin Santana signing the Q.O., and they all got burned.

Would I love to have Kendrys over Hart/Morrison? Oh, absolutely...but with the way things are going right now, I'm happy with letting those guys get comfy to see what they can do.

Boras overplayed his hand this time. This time.

We'll see how it shakes out. I'm open for a move to bring in an established hitter (if not Kendrys). At some point we'll need it. But nice to see what's happening now.

One nice thing to see. Our young players going up to the plate with an attack-mentality. They just seem looser. Maybe luck. Maybe development. Maybe a good attitude having been established my McClendon. I don't know.

The A's will be tough as always for us. I'll take 5-2 and coming home right now (sort of).

Does Smoak lead the league in HR's and RBI's now?

One problem with Kendrys is...when's the last time he had a meaningful at bat? How long would it take him to get comfortable again?

I don't know Sweez. If he loves the game (seems like he does), he must be dying inside now.

Oh and, another HR. Ho-hum.

Is the Angels pitching this bad? Or are we actually hitting the ball of our own accord?

Hart is a strong man. Was really happy to see that. He genuinely seems like a GREAT guy.

I am really trying hard not to get too excited. Ahhhh.....dont tease us again Seattle!!!

I think a bit of both. Their bullpen was a sore spot last year.

Not just this time, but Noesi has concerned me for awhile now.

Lol. Does anyone have a valid reason for Noesi being on this team? BESIDES him being able to throw multiple innings? Because I dont think he has ever been impressive. Not for more than 1 appearance.

He's inspirational. As in seeing him warming up in the pen inspired Erasmo to find an extra gear last night and inspired Smoak and Hart to go back-to-back because they felt we might need the runs.
